"Intermittent system or application crash may be observed while playing FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH for long periods of time." Bug is listed on the new 25.1.1 AMD optional drivers.
And "long periods of time" means 30 minutes tops.
BUT after many tries I found a temporary solution (until the drivers gets an update and fix the problem xd)
- Enter the game, put the graphic settings on LOW, everything on LOW.
- Play on windowed mode and 1280x720 resolution.
- Go into the scene and skipt it.
And it will load the next scene, at least for me!
So please give it a try if you are stuck
Thank you this got me past it
I'll give it a try if my current stuff im trying doesnt work.
THanks!
I didn't end up changing the resolution again, but moved my FFVII Rebirth install to my M.2 NvMe drive.
Immediate results; Game loads faster, textures are there, eliminating the need for them to pop-in, and I was able to successfully skip the cutscene that was causing the crash.
Going to run some additional tests, but that's tomorrows stuff.
Let me know if anyone wants to know if I find out anything more tomorrow!
tl;dr: Moved game to a faster SSD. Crashing stopped.
