Video issue: black screen
It looks like videos don't work on my rig. A simple test is starting a New Game: the screen is simply black, no image, no sound. After a while (1 or 2 minutes), it suddenly chains to what seems to be engine cinematic (where Cloud crashes through a window on his motorcycle) and everything's ok. In game, gameplay seems to work well too, as far as I could see. Then, when it's Nibelheim part... black screen again (for longer)... then back to engine cinematic (Cloud in truck with Sephiroth) -> gameplay (fight with two monsters) -> engine cinematic with the team (Cloud, Barret, ...) discussing in a room about the past event I just played.

Everything works like a charm with FF7 Remake Intergrade, but not Rebirth. No crash, just black videos and I have to wait the chaining to in-game engine cinematics/gameplay to enjoy the game.

Does someone have this specific issue? I can’t seriously experience a Final Fantasy without pre-rendered CGI videos (even if I know the story), that would be awful.

Well... forget it, at least for my "pre-rendered CGI"/video assumption. It seems there aren't any anyway. I checked a New Game session video on YT, and it seems I've seen it all. My only issue is the long time to start cinematics for whatever reason. At least I don't have to worry about missing any scene and just hope for a patch to fix it (as it breaks the rythm somehow).

I found that ALT-Tabbing to another window somehow shortens the cinematics big delay. I'm using the Steam little "Friends" window for that so I can still see the game behind... interact, wandering the mouse on the window, clicking or anything... when audio starts again, ALT-TAB in game and first rendering will start too in a matter of seconds.

the black screen seems to be a bug. I get it sometimes when I pause, i just get a black screen with the music on the background, the menu/inventory never opens and i have to restart the game
