Japanese Audio Doesn't Work

I set the voice-over dialog to Japanese BEFORE starting the game so I wouldn't have to hear the god-awful English Overdubs. And guess what? The game started with English voiceover anyway. Surely a mistake, I thought. So I skipped the dumb and terrible intro cutscenes to get to the gameplay and change the settings. And, guess what, it IS set to Japanese audio. It's just not working. WTF Square? Are we gonna patch this, or?

EDIT: Quitting the game and reopening will fix the issue and you will hear Japanese audio. You will still have to hear English language in the intro cutscenes it seems though

the game CLEARLY STATES, (and you didnt READ, clearly.)
you have to RESTART the game, once you change the AUDIO LANGUAGE.
same thing you had to do, IF YOU PLAYED REMAKE.
