Green Screen of Death after flickering

For about 60 min now I am trying to get this game not to crash my whole PC. Tried out several ingame graphic settings (low, mid, high, Vsync on/that other thing on, ...) but I always get the same result:

After a few seconds to minutes all my screens start to flicker on/off for a few frames and about 30 seconds later my PC crashes with a GSOD (no error message, just a green screen).

Anyone got anything I could try out? Or do I have to play the waiting game and hope for a quick patch or smth?

System:

Win 11 Pro (Version 10.0.22631 Build 2263)
i7 8700k, 4,5 GHz OC (it's getting old okay? xD)
Z370 SLI PLUS (MS-7B46)
32 GB DDR4 Trident Z 3000 MHz
XFX RX 6950XT

no such thing as a green screen OS failure. That sounds like a graphics issue.
