DX12 and fatal error in DX11

So, i launched the game, and it said to toggle offfthe dx12, i did that by launch options and didnt work, it says fatal error. what can i do other than upgrade?

Ungh, 3090 and its chop fest like Remake was at stock. I tried -dx11 to see if I could use the Vulkan wrapper but -dx11 causes an error on start up. I guess I'll have to wait for the pros to get a fix. Maybe SpecialK has something in the meantime.

Even using Proton Experimental on Linux doesn't work anymore. It worked on FF7 Remake Intergrade. Why not for Rebirth? I don't want to return this.

32gb RAM 3000MHz
all updated, DX12, Windows, Graphic Cards. I try all solutions in internet foll all games running that error and do not work. REFUND? Buy it in firt day pré-oder

In my case RTX 3070, when I select new game it goes to a blank screen and never does anything. Force quit and it says "fatal error". Tried changing graphic options but nothing works. edit later to say I found what the issue was.

wow a game said it needs DX12 let me try use DX11.. wow it doesnt work shocking.

Why are people so quick to refund over just waiting a day or so to see if someone finds a fix?

The minimum system requirements are very misleading the minimum directx version needed isnt 12 but rather 12.2 (Directx12 Ultimate) which only the rtx cards support but the minimum settings say the game will run on directx 12 and any video card that supports that which obviously isnt true since the game refuses to launch for anyone using a video card that doesnt support directx 12.2

Oh yeah my bad im brain dead on that part was looking at the part 1 specs but my point with direct x still stands though minimum directx version says 12 but the game will only run for video cards that support 12.2

I am using an AMD Ryzen 7 5700U with Radeon Graphics, it says it is using DirectX 12 and I can't even load the game. It gives me an error "DX12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d312 command line argument"

Or maybe they can give us the option to turn off settings that don't affect core gameplay. Ffs, my machine ran FF16 with no problems. My card is stronger than what the steam deck is using, which allegedly CAN run this. If I don't have a card powerful enough for ray tracing, then just let turn that off and run it without! It's not hard, and plenty of other games let you.
