i know right? This is why "system requirements" don't mean anything.

Why are you attempting this? Rebirth will not run in DirectX 11. It requires DirectX 12.
idk i jst tried, and btw i have diretx12, thats the problem

There are different versions of DX12 for example 12_1 and 12_2.
Your card simply does not support the features if you have anything below a RTX20XX series.

i got a geforce gtx 1080 sadly. but i will buy a steam deck soon. do you think mods will fix this problem?
I have a GEFORCE GTX 1660 and DX12 and it states the same. DX12 is not supported on your system. Try running without de -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument. Help please

It still supports mesh shaders apparently... it seems that is the issue.

Thanks Nvidia and Square-Enix. UE4 is perfectly capable to run vertex shader for supporting old gpus. But it's disabled and they enabled meshe shader support only, wich excluding lot of GPU wich could run Rebirth.

maybe you can pray to something that DX12 will be replaced by Dx11 again, maybe we get Dx9 back, who knows, everything can happen.

it may be attempts at working with uevr mod as you had to change launch codes to direct x11 for remake in order to be compatible with uevr.

who told you to use dx11? pretty sure that is not supported so no wonder

dx11 is usually better on Unreal engine 4 and is usually able to work with command prompt and ff7 remake was able to switch from dx12 to dx11
