No HDR toggle?!
The settings are horribly barebones. Not even close to what should be available on a modern game, but no HDR toggle?!

Port is feeling a bit lazy right off the bat sadly

It enables automatically when you toggle it in Windows, which 99% of games require you to do before using HDR anyway, i don't see the issue.
Sounds like a skill issue of not knowing how HDR settings work. Stick to console or learn 2 PC game.

It will turn on automatically if you have HDR already enabled on the windows desktop before launching the game. It's weird that there's no option to turn it on or off in game though.

Pretty typical of these Steam forums. Expected a few stupid and rude replies. Cheers all the same. Have a few points

The amount of time people take to write bs replies they could have just told you a solid answer. i agree with you, the steam forums can be quite counter-productive. its lame when people just want to be jerks and not give answers. they could easily just say nothing instead of being jerks. sorry you have to deal with bs
Inject Special K to disable the game's native hdr.

Google it if you're unaware about the software or ask chatGPT.

The thing is that some in-game HDR can be trash compares to AutoHDR or RTX HDR. So would have been nice to have a toggle to disable it to have the choice of which HDR solution we want !

Someone gets it!

Forcing on an hdr solution with no way of disabling it is terrible and limits your options. Its no different than having motion blur in your game with no way of turning it off.

Again, these settings don't seem to be anything close to the best of modern gaming. Look at Cyberpunk and some others that let you set the game how you want. FF7Rebirth seems incredibly lacklustre by comparison. Feels lazy, like we're all just going to want the game so much we won't point out it's shortcomings.
Also, no new Nvidia drivers to coincide with this release? Isn't this game a big enough deal?

Like being unable to chose if we want to set DLSS on Quality, Balanced or Performance ? :dip::dip:

Right? I think they are doing it with the min/max setting but who does that? Just add the think that's in EVERY OTHER GAME! Damn Square...

I dont think thats dlss, because if I set it to 66% min and 100% max. it gets blurry as hell. Looks like simple dynamic resolution.
