1080ti Error
I got a 1080Ti and it's giving me this error:

dx12 is not supported on your system steam. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument

Anyone experiencing the same thing?

The game runs on an RTX 3050 6GB, the issue isn't that the 1080TI isn't strong enough

its that it doesn't support the latest RT, if they did the port without this RT bs requirement it would have ran at 2K high on your card

so now you either have to get a newer card better than the 1080ti which will probably cost you over 300$ and you get less Vram (unless u go with AMD)

or stick with the 1080 and buy something that runs like Ghost of tsushima or the upcoming DOOM game and play this one in Could services like GeForce now if u have a decent internet

Btw this game offers nothing better than the previous neither visually or performance wise, its even the same engine

this is just a move to make you buy a new GPU and lower the development cost ofc

Fixed.

We are all cooked when you think about it lol.
I get it. the 1080ti is great. i had one myself a number of years ago. But there's a reason this game wasn't released for PS4. There are enough hardware doodads and advanced DX12 elements in here that the 1080ti just won't have circuitry for. Sure. someone can mode the code I suppose to strip out (easier) or back compat (much, much harder) for that GTX card, but it won't run well, nor look good (both options).

That 1080 TI SLI has taken you far, but it's time to let them go. Let those cards rest in their original packaging after a nice cleaning and save them.

Why would I upgrade, just to play 1 game?
Because the hobby has already passed you by. Its not just 1 game.
the potato PS5 GPU is faster and a lot newer than 1080 Ti. don't expect current console games to run on that thing
actually 1080ti is more powerful than PS5, the PS5 is 10.28 teraflops and 1080ti is 11.34 teraflops but yah the requirement of RT make 1080ti unable to run this game.
Well, this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I dont care about the graphics, I care about the story. Why not enable dx11?
Because they make their game for modern hardware?

Because new games require cards capable of running new tech. This isn’t going to be the only game with this limitation. It’s an old card. 5 generations old now.

You realize you are only saying they should pay more money because they should pay more money, right? What exactly are you getting out of upgrading other than merely dodging planned obsolescence?
