I never even considered there'd be a difference between the download and diskspace, but of course there would be! Thanks, chaps! You just saved me a chunk of time off my estimated download time.
Some people are useful members of society. AKA they work. So every minute is precious, wasting it in download time when they could be playing can make people anxious I imagine.
That's jsut stupid trend among gamers, it has zero practical sense so developers do not bother with preload usually, which I compeletely agree with.
You can on consoles but it seems like certain publishers such as Square-Enix don't like to do this on Steam for some reason. Maybe they are paranoid about people cracking the game before it releases? I can't think why else they would do this on console but not PC.
