No working on GTX cards
The game is not working on GTX cards because it requires ray tracing cores to run
So very goodbye GTX cards especially GTX 1080 :(

This game need Shader Model 6.6
GTX 16 series supports 6.8
I have a GTX 1650 and they have already granted me the refund.
I haven't seen any evidence of GTX 1650 or GTX 1660 cards running FF7 Rebirth. At least so far.

Bruh you are using a non-supported graphics card, and intentionally trying to play it. Stop crying and upgrade or don't play it
Gtx 1660 can't run this game i have this card and game not work

The 1080ti can handle Shader 6.6 and higher, it is just not supported in the official driver for the old GTX series. But there are poeple trying self made driver for the GTX series with full support for DX12 Ultimate.
So yes it is only NVidia corporations greed.

It's not the first game which requires RTX. GTX is a decade old technology. In the IT world it is like ancient tech already. To be honest I’m starting to consider if it’s time to replace my RTX3080… so I would say that for sure you should replace that GTX.

It runs on the steam deck, which is trounced by something in like a 1080 Ti - so I'm not seeing a consistent rationale for why the game won't work on the high-end GTX cards. As for outdated? Who the ***k cares? If it works, it works, why spend additional resources and expend additional energy for something as trivial as gaming. By the way, I have a 3080 12GB and a 4080, so I'm running only RTX cards. But I won't be replacing them anything this decade. I'm in no danger or running out of stuff to play on my current hardware.

Sorry for the somewhat livid response, but this whole idea of obsolescence of completely functional and relevant hardware is so inane. Not saying everyone will be able to play the latest games on old hardware, just that all efforts should be made to support hardware so as to reduce unnecessary waste via constant upgrading.

100% - there is literally no reason for this as long as the game is running on a steam deck. It's sickening. And as I mentioned previously in this thread, I have way higher than recommended specs. Thanks to it not having Denuvo, hopefully we'll see extensive mods that might allow for a wider compatibility.

I honestly think its really strange how RTX is required... Its Unreal 4 even. Theyre locking out so many players currently just because of this. Im on a 4070 myself so i can play, but i still think its really strange, most Ue4 games dont require people to run on an RTX.

Also, alot of people arent that tech savy, and simply had no idea,so they bought the game and now cant play it.

https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/videocard/

Look at the amount of people even owning an RTX gpu compared to how many don't. That is a massive chunk of people that simply are unable to play it at all.

I really think they should atleast give people with older gen gpu's the ability to atleast launch and play the game, eventhough it has to be on low settings.Locking out based on what gpu you have is just wrong. And these gpu's arent even That old.

Ive played the FF7 Remake on a 970GTX back then perfectly fine maxed out.

Companies ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ over their player base to try to force them to use more modern drives . How stupid of them.

Probably requires mesh shaders...

In theory the 16 Series card should be able to run due to it sharing the same architecture as the 2000 series (Turing) and the only barrier for it was Mandatory Raytracing which Rebirth doesn't have, so the DX12 Ultimate Feature that is required is Mesh Shaders WHICH the GTX 16 Series do support, Alan Wake 2 prior to the Pascal Card Patch is an example where the GTX 16 Series was able to launch WITHOUT a warning and they listed the minimum spec the exact same as Rebirth RTX 3060/RX 6600.

So it was really odd to find out that the 1650/1660 SUPER did not launch.

"You were so preoccupied with whether or not you could, that you didn't stop to think if you should."

It's dumb that we're gonna need 3 console generations to play this entirely.

Yeah atm there is not valid reason for GTX 16 series to not run that game.

Si, no son compatibles, debe ser 2060 para arriba o 6600 para arriba,
