No working on GTX cards
The game is not working on GTX cards because it requires ray tracing cores to run
So very goodbye GTX cards especially GTX 1080 :(

get better job and buy 5090ti super ultra
I just recently bought a RX 5700XT and this one game is sort of making me regret it. Thought I did my research right, finding a good budget card to replace my RX 570. Turns out there is this thing called Dx12 ULTIMATE, that I never heard of until today, that the 5000 series does not fully support. Regardless, I am waiting to see if Rebirth will run at all on my card before, MAYBE, making a return for a 7600.

At this rate, by the time part 3 comes out it won't boot on RTX cards... :p

Alan Wake 2 is one of the first games to require DX12 Ultimate’s Mesh Shaders and it runs on the Gtx 1650 you wonder how then.

GTX 16 Series uses the same Turing core that the RTX 20 Series uses but without ray-tracing or tensor cores. It seems to support Mesh Shaders though. So FF7 Rebirth should run, but probably not very fast...
I'll be playing on steam deck for now. But I gotta finish remake on PC first. Since I only beat on PS. I'm probably going to upgrade next month. My problems now that a 8700k is starting to become close to low end so I may need to upgrade from my 1080 and i78700k which I'd want to go 40 or 50 series 70ti or 80 cards since I want to upgrade as few times as possible.
I just realized I'm going to have to upgrade pretty much everything. My ram speed could be higher, MB gotta upgrade etc. may just do the GPU for now... It was overdue. But since I got my steam deck I rarely play on PC outside the few games I can't run on steam deck well like Returnal

My PC has a 1060 Super, it managed to run both Remake without issue and Alan Wake II (albeit, at a lower resolution). Rebirth, however, refuses to run. I've reached out to support to confirm it's not some sort of early bug, as the situation was the same with Alan Wake II at first too, but this surely sucks. I'm confident that the game can run on hardware like this, it just highlights how lazy developers have become with optimizing their games.

The 1060 Super is not a card.

try -steamdeck=1 as a launch command
Dunno if it will work

the pentium 3 and 4 was such good hardware, and the voodo graphic cards too, shame that the game do not support that tech anymore.

GTX 1060 on Allanwake 2 ? how much FPS you have in 1080p and lowest setings ? 20 ? dude this is not running good when your GPU get beaten by a PS3 Performance in FPS even by a Ps2 ... think about it.

GTX 16 series (GTX 1650/1660) can run the game actually.
This game need Shader Model 6.6
GTX 16 series supports 6.8

it doesnt require ray tracing, its likely it needs all of the features of DX12 ultimate which the 10 series does not support, like mesh shaders, which is why under requirements it says RTX cards because they support them.
