No working on GTX cards
The game is not working on GTX cards because it requires ray tracing cores to run
So very goodbye GTX cards especially GTX 1080 :(

It is also called 'programmed obsolescence'. That's why GTX 16 series users can still play this game by simply copying a dll file to the installation directory, while minimum requirements specs say they couldn't. These are corporate decisions.

Stalker 2 does not have ray tracing, it runs on UE5 global illumination.
Lumen uses ray tracing.

UE5 Lumen ist engine/software RT, every card can run it, not so good but better in perfomrance.
NVidia RTX is hardware RT, only cards with tnesor cores can run it, better looking but bad performance.

Lumen also has hardware RT support (just not in most games). Regardless, it's still using ray tracing.

If you are on an older GPU, like GTX 1000 series, and cannot run the game, install the file linked below with this extension. It will fake an RTX 4090 device ID, so the game thinks that is your GPU. Just install it into Vortex with this extension and it will work. Some users are reporting the game runs fine on low settings using this mod.

You can also use something like DLSS Enabler or Optiscaler, which includes this file.

https://github.com/cdozdil/d3d12-proxy/releases/tag/v0.1.1

If that one doesn't work, try this one. It also spoofs the VRAM. It is on GoW Ragnarok page but will work for any game: https://www.nexusmods.com/godofwarragnarok/mods/12?tab=files

Anyone got it working?
I don't think they know what they're talking about

the pentium 3 and 4 was such good hardware, and the voodo graphic cards too, shame that the game do not support that tech anymore.
So sad my N64 can’t run it :steamsad:

But honestly all you need to do is read the minimum specs. The 10XX cards are from 9 years ago, the 16XX cards are from 6 years ago. Like no ♥♥♥♥ they aren’t supported. 6 years is more than enough time for an upgrade which should be about once every 5 years imo. And in the state the games performance is currently in with officially supported cards? I wouldn’t recommend it at all on those half decade old cards, even if a workaround is discovered.

Honestly sounds kinda mean to just say “deal with it” but if you wanna play it on pc, your gonna need to play by square’s rules, and bite the bullet on a new GPU.

Seeing from this video, with high/medium on most options, around 50 fps. As I thought, it would be playable on a GTX 1660 Super, as it has around the same performance as RTX 2060 and is more recent than it.
And aside from that, Remake can run fine on it.

2060 is around 25% faster. They're really not that close in performance lol
I’ve got a problem—after d12 fix this error pops up:

'Game files required to initialize the shader library are missing from:
[GAME DIRECTORY]
Please make sure the game is installed correctly.'

Laptop: Windows 10 / GTX 1650.
Any tips or help?"

You're just cooked for now, sorry
Going to add a little to this here - GTX cards can't run this bc they are not Dx12 Ultimate ready and do not support mesh shaders, not because they don't have RT Cores - the game doesn't even have ray tracing at all.
