WHAT?! No FSR and Frame Generation in this?!
How the heck a big company like this releases a BIG game like this, but WITHOUT FSR and Frame Generation support! In 2025!! WTH?! So much laziness... o_O

From what I hear, the pc porters from Square Enix aren't accustomed to PC porting. That's why the Intergrade was released the way it did and they did learn from that experience to better optimize the Rebirth. Be glad the Rebirth runs as well as it does.

adding in Frame Generation IS the lazy part. actually optimizing the game to run well is the hard part. like tpowl said: Be glad Rebirth runs as well as it does. also if you're wanting frame gen then you probably have a 4000 series gpu. does the game not run well for you?

RTX4050 laptop can barely get 60fps at 1080p medium
Dont seem to be needed, ppl are reporting it runs very well. Things like a 4070 super running at 1440p native 100+ fps and 4090 running 4k native 120 fps.

It's more of a problem for portable game systems.
Steam Deck isn't the only handheld.

Do agree I prefer them to focus more on optimizing the game than relaying on a crutch, like so many modern titles.
Man, used Lossless Scaling
Nothing is preventing Square Enix from releasing Complete PC ports in the same vein as Sony. They have the capital and know how to make it so. There's no FSR/XESS or Frame Generation because they didn't care to add it and anyone content to pay for less are straight up embarrassing. Indie developers have done more on a shoe string budget.
Man, used Lossless Scaling
That is Windows only.
FSR would be platform agnostic.
AMD does allow you to force frame generation and upscaling through the driver. Turn on AFMF2 for frame generation and Radeon Super Resolution for upscaling.

FSR built into the game would be better of course, let's hope they patch it in later.

Speaking of DSSL first of all, that seems undercooked in the Rebirth.

Speaking of frame generation, that seems non-existent since the game is running on Unreal Engine 4 which doesn't support it.

u will see mods with fsr
Conspiracy theory time. This game launches on Jan 23rd which was supposedly the launch date of the RDNA4 GPUs according to retailers before it got delayed. Alongside that release would include FSR4 which is compatible with FSR3.1 games according to AMD. This game was going to launch with FSR3.1 and FSR4 support but didn't include it possibly due to there not being a way to disable one and not the other.

Yes this is also massive copium from an AMD GPU owner.

So wait, it doesn't have DLSS Frame Gen either? Anyone have any benchmarks of this game on the RTX 4060 Laptop GPU?

I saw DSSL in the in-game option, but I am not sure what it does. DSSL option as you see in the Rebirth is not laid out as you'd expect to see in other games. As to frame gen, I don't think that option exists at all.
