How the heck a big company like this releases a BIG game like this, but WITHOUT FSR and Frame Generation support! In 2025!! WTH?! So much laziness... o_O

This game runs on a Steamdeck. can't play it on PC, thats a you problem.
FSR and FG sucks anyway. Run it at native settings/resolution or not at all. Keep all that ♥♥♥♥ plus TXAA and TSAA out of my games.
Like fsr framegen can be usefull tools to help but no game should have performance rely on these alone
They put the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ interns working on this and the poor interns cannlt for ♥♥♥♥♥ sake put some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fsr on this ♥♥♥♥. Its not like the port will be good or anything, SE ports ALWAYS SUCKS ASS so those who says the game is well optimized CAN ♥♥♥ OFF, this is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ UE4 game get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ grip ♥♥♥♥♥.

AFMF2 does not work on this game at least for me on latest drivers. The game only has windowed or borderless windowed modes. Even in-game with AFMF2 enabled via adrenaline, the game would stutter severely every minute or less and any cutscenes transition causes even worse stutter. Enabling AMD overlay I can see the overlay disappearing and reappearing corresponding to the in-game stuttering like AMD is having an issue with focusing on the game window for scaling hence constant stuttering and pauses in game with AFMF2 likely constantly going from on to off etc.
Imagine telling people to be grateful that spending money gets you something that is somewhat functional instead of completely unusable

Yeah FF remake and rebirth both use Unreal Engine 4 while FF 16 used square enix proprietary game engine

My 4060 is 45w, mind you
Playing on an external monitor at 1440p with dlss and dynamic res 50-100. Most settings at high but some med-low. Looks Okay-ish
For the most part 60fps and above but there's huge drops, especially during cutscenes when it's loading the next scene. Haven't played so long but during actual gameplay during the first area/town it dropped to 48-49fps

I'm on a 4060 Laptop, and I'm on high, 1080p, minimum resolution 66%, and dlss on (it's weird in this game) but I seem to be getting pretty much locked 60 so far.

FSR is actually bad. The game offers Unreal Engine stock solution: TAAU. And it's actually better than FSR2 (still not good enough...). Framegen is a tech that doen't make sense for something that isn't running beyond great already.

Framegen is a tech that will be usefull for people with 1000Hz display with games running at 200+ fps. Framegen shines in that situation. When at 60Hz framegen is just a duck.

Edit: Bilinear scalling is actually better than FSR2. I was amazed when I tested... Maybe FSR4 will do something right.

Nothing is preventing Square Enix from releasing Complete PC ports in the same vein as Sony. They have the capital and know how to make it so. There's no FSR/XESS or Frame Generation because they didn't care to add it and anyone content to pay for less are straight up embarrassing. Indie developers have done more on a shoe string budget.

Exactly. And not everyone can have a RTX 4xxx graphic card. Hundreds of thousands of players around the world don´t have it, and wanted to use FSR and Frame Generation on the game. I guess we will have to rely on the Legendary Modders again, because Port Devs are lacking.
I tested it a little (30 min) on a 4090, the game doesn't allow you to choose dlss preset (I guess it's on auto mod), it came with agressive dynamic resolution scaling (min at 50%), the game is a stutter fest in cinematics (shader compilation?), and there is an issue with the build in Fps cap with Vsync, when you move the camera, it's not smooth at all, you have to use an external tool to cap your FPS (like riva tuner).

The only good thing from the short time I played this game is that image quality seems to be good with DLSS, compare to ps5 but I didn't saw enough of the game to confirm it. But clearly this game need a lot of fixes and the lack of FSR and XESS is really not acceptable when the game allows you to use DLSS.
