Question about save data bonus.

So to get the bonus I just have to save at the beginning of remake and intermission right? I previously played remake on epic, so I'm not sure if it'll detect my saves. So figured I'll just install remake and prep some saves as long as don't have to clear the game again.

If you put your Epic saves into Steam's save directory, it will work fine.

Copy the save files from this location:
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE\EOS\

Into this location:
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE\Steam\

Just copy-paste that first address into Windows Explorer and it will take you directly to your save files. Then make the necessary folder in the second location.

When you make the My Games\FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE\Steam\ folder, you need to make a second folder inside that one and name it the number of your Steam user account. You can find that by clicking your name in the top left of Steam and selecting Account Details. So the folder path will be:
My Games\FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE\Steam\<SteamID>

Then drop all of the .sav files into that folder and it should detect them

@aeternox, that folder is for you specifically as that number is your SteamID. They will need to name it as their own ID

done and done shouldve never got it on pc but now i got save data and transferred and got my stuff again on the REAL system

Does it work with steam cloud saves? Or do I gotta download remake and launch it first to have the saves locally?

My previous SSD broke.

One thing to add, if you have a one drive enabled, you may need to put your files in:
C:\Users\<name>\OneDrive\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE\Steam\<steam id>

Happy to confirm this works! Just replace the long number thing with your own long number thing from the "... REBIRTH\Steam\12345679332222whatever\" A "complete" save from the popular PC gaming mods site worked (two ~4.5MB .SAV files in a zip).
