disable minimap and compass for immersive experience
and it will convert the open world experience in this game from having a ubisoft feel to organic and immersive exploration where you never know what is coming up over the next hill you climb.

i did this on my first playthrough on ps5 and i got so caught up in the thrill of finding stuff that it took me 170hrs to finish the game because i just kept finding new ♥♥♥♥

Might do that but i'm also a rabbid completionist who can't hold his ADHD for long, so i guess i'll play compassless until i'm tired and then i'll switch it on to finish a region off
i kind of like this idea. i think ill do it. thanks man

I played with compass but no minimap on PS5. It certainly added to the experience. I liked that FFXVI also had a no-map design philosophy.

problem with this is you will end up walking through endless nothingness or hills you visited 50 times before, a mix of those 2 is a healthy one

thats why the reason you play this game is important, to quickly 100% all for brag etc or just to enjoy the scenery, if im doing my usual quick 100% i wont even think of turning those off
