This video should give you a better idea on how FF 7 Rebirth performs
Following video should give a lot of you where your hardware spec stand in terms of performance. Video uploader has AMD Ryzen 7 9700x cpu and nvidia 4070 ti super gpu. Definitely Square Enix has learned a thing or two since the first game pc release.

I'm hearing conflicting things from different reviewers, some say there's no stuttering outside of the first minute of play, others say there's constant stutters through, some say there's no pop-in on ultra for object distance, others say the pop-in on ultra is as bad as on PS5, and lastly i've seen performance videos in which there's a struggle to maintain 60fps on medium 1080p with a 4060 while others are playing on high with that card sitting between 80~90fps, either there's some people doing something very wrong or the game is very sensitive to whatever's going on with your rig
Either way i think the only constant everyone can agree is that it's doing better than Remake

The stuttering aspect based on the limited knowledge that I have is the same as your opinion so far in that I don't know anymore than you do. As to the pop-in, I saw two different videos with one video uploader having lower hardware spec than the other. Former said there were constant pop-ins while the latter said he saw very little graphic pop-ins (but they were still there while playing). So hopefully that answers at least part of your questions.

But with regard to stuttering, I would add that FF 7 Rebirth loads in texture as soon as you try to start the game, which causes about 15 seconds of initial stutterings, but thereafter, the game runs smoothly the entire time.

I'm playing on a 2070super with r7 5700x3d 16gbram, haven't really had any issues. A couple stutters here and there but the fps hasn't dropped below 70 and sits in the 80s and 90s usually, sometimes higher. I'm running in 1440p with DLSS and medium settings. Could be some people having issues on the CPU end?

Im also just outside of Kalm in the open world so maybe that changes later on?

Game runs flawless on my 6600xt and 5800x. Installed to SSD. 32G ram. No stutters, no frame drops. SO SMOOTH. Honestly in shock. Way better than ff16 ran.
