Fair enough. Thanks! I want to 100% the game quickly though, so I guess I need to do 2 playthroughs, dynamic will slow me down probably vs normal.

why even play it if your intention is to just get through it as quickly as possible? that sounds like the opposite of fun

If the game takes over 100 hours to finish, requiring a NG+ to 100% it is just annoying. FFXVI did this too. If you could just start off on Hard and wrap it up in one playthrough, that's not rushing through it as quickly as possible, it's I don't want to play this super long game twice.

the main story is about 40hrs if you just move through it. the game has a hell of a lot of side content though and while you are required to do it if you want to 100% it, devs don’t build games to accomodate trophy hunters being able to get trophies quickly. no dev gives a ♥♥♥♥ about that, they just want to make good games with lots of content and that is what you have here

It's not about doing it quickly, it's about doing it. They do intentionally design it to pad out the length by making it where you can only do certain things and get certain things in Hard Mode, so they absolutely are designing it to be a pain in the ass for trophy hunters. This was the case in Remake, at least, so I assume it's the same way in Rebirth. FFXVI did this too. They've got it where when I finished FFXVI last year, I decided I'd do NG+ later on at some point this year instead of doing it again right after like I'd done with Remake. Likely what's going to happen is that I 100% Rebirth, play something else, then go back to FFXVI's NG+ Hard, then play something else, then go back to Rebirth NG+ Hard. It's unreasonable to do them back to back when the games are so damn long.
they are giving you extra content to do and giving you good rewards for doing them, and then giving you a trophy too cause why not. i am trying to tell you that they do not build games for the express purpose of an easy 100% trophy so it’s weird to think negatively of a game because of this

you are setting a goal of getting 100 and then faulting the game for not making it easy. like no dev is trying to make that easy for you so of course

Actually it sounds like he is trying to make it hard because he doesn't want to play on easy. Wait a max of 24 hours and difficulty will be modded for immediate access along with all the other fixes and optimizations the game needs.

I know you probably mean well, but you're talking to the last person who cares about a quick 100% and done. I've been 100%ing games since I was a young kid. To me, if you don't 100% the game, you didn't beat the game. There's still design elements to keep in mind to make the 100% enjoyable. Forcing someone to play the game twice to have a "real" 100% is just annoying busy work, and there's no justifiable reason for it.

Probably need to wait until someone finishes the game so you can grab their save file and start on NG+

The problem with this is that the game is fundamentally designed around doing Hard on NG+, so jumping straight into Hard without NG+ is like Extra Hard, where you don't have the correct resources as the game expects. The complaint is that the game should not be designed this way, it should be made where you could play Hard reasonably from the start if you want, but they've intentionally decided to not let us do that. Final Fantasy is not the only one doing this, either, they're just one of many.

we are going to fundamentally disagree on that

Don't worry, it's ok to be wrong.

It's fine if you want to have condescending opinions, I'd just say you have a different focus than I do. But sure, be an ass. It's not really okay, but you're free to do as you wish.

I mean, you're the one telling people they didn't beat a game when they beat a game.
