Hanging out on on the beach in VR. UEVR Injection.
Post your findings and settings here, I know a few of us are going to be tinkering trying to get the game injected on release day. Lets see what issues and problems arise and what settings we can find.

Unfortunately does not work with UEVR yet. Also note game is only dx12 for now.
Hopefully in the future I'll get to hang out in the world in VR, but for now, it just doesn't work for some unknown reason.

Keeping an eye out on the discord, there seems to have been a breakthrough. Meanwhile I'm going to see if I can get intergrade up and running.

I will try to play it in UEVR as well.

Luke Ross has a VR mod for Remake/Intergrade that works exceptionally well. No motion controls, only controller. But you have to be a member of his Patreon to get access.

If you use latest UEVR nightly build and this plugin:
https://github.com/praydog/FF7RB-UEVR/releases

It works in sequential mode. Movies need to be viewed in 2D mode.
Native works, but the environment is black while the characters look fine. If that issue could be solved, it'll run quite well and look great.
Thanks, I’ll check it out

I can't see the UI or hud, none of that stuff, any idea how to fix that?
It had to be running openxr, which wasn’t set up right on my pc. So got that working.

I'm excited for this. Hopefully one of the two get it working!

The UEVR mod is working now, there’s still some issues, but I’m accustomed buggy vr mods so I’m used to it. The big thing you might not be used to would be cutscene cinematics making you go cross eyed. I just close one eye when they’re playing. As long as the cutscene is rendered in 3D it’s fine. But sometimes the camera will clip through walls or get trapped behind things until the perspective shifts. That’s pretty much normal for games that weren’t designed for vr from the ground up. If you’re into VR, consider checking out Luke Ross on Patreon. There’s a limited number of games he made mods for, but a lot of them are great games, Cyberpunk, Ghost of Tsushima, FF7 Remake (the first one), Elden Ring, Far Cry games, Horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden West, and more. One of the great things about his mods are he has a type of frame gen that helps out with frame rate big time.

Yeah, thanks! I'm actually subscribed to him... and have used his cyberpunk, and uncharted mod. And i've played FF7:Remake on my 3Dtv using helixmod.

I will try it soon in a couple of days.
I've already beaten the game twice on PS5 so I will wait a little bit more for playing it again.

I'm waiting for a few mods that were in the FF7 Remake, like damage number removal, and maybe difficulty one. That they will hoepfully make for this.

Oh, you're old school like me :lunar2019laughingpig: It's been quite a few years since I've used helixmod. I miss 3D, I still have a couple 3D monitors and an old school Nvidia 3D Vision setup, but I don't have a 3D tv anymore sadly.
will require serious core modding for all game conent. The combat in first person would be difficult to achieve, but looking around fine.

I actually did try to set up a simple first person perspective camera, which works surprisingly well as long as you don't move the camera, but because the camera moves on an oblong axis, it's a little bit disorienting.

Haven't made the jump to VR due to lack of time and most current-gen headsets not supporting Linux well... but I LOVED 3d Vision and stereoscopic 3d is exactly what I'm most excited about when I finally take the plunge. Happy to hear folks are working on this, and I'm really looking forward to the Deckard because I know it will! And hoping it will have match the visuals of the MeganeX Superlight! I know Rebirth will look amaaazing in 3d. :D
