True I won't be able to play?
So I have an older pc with a GTX 1080. Is it true I won't be able to play at all on pc? If so, that kind of sucks.

Minimum requirements are usually more a bunchmark than a hard lower limit. You might be able to play but will likely have to lower the resolution.
not going to be able to play due to shaders........

I don't want to be that guy, but it's 2025 bro. I think it's time to upgrade that 1080 to something a bit better, it doesn't have to be a top of the line latest release gpu but a 1080 just isn't going to cut it anymore

No one know yet, but Rebirth's a UE4 based game and the engine was known for its highly customizable, even if SE lock the game from being launched on older hardware, there'll be another way to get around I guess.

rtx graphics are require dude .

yeah time to upgrade lmao
1080 isn't compatible with mesh shaders, which this game uses.

There is a way. Unfortunately the way means, get a more recent GPU.

Remake worked fine on my GTX 1660 Super, but FF16 was not in a playable state. But 16 uses a SE engine, not UE like the FF7 Remake and Rebirth. A demo would be welcome to test it, but so far they didn't released it for Steam. The game has a demo for PS5 however.

Let's clear something, this game doesn't need ray tracing. It does need an RTX card because those are the ones that have the shader model required to run this game, but it doesn't mean the game will be ray traced only.

That said, yes, RTX or 6000 series minimum.

Rebirth uses mesh shaders and therefore requires hardware support for shader model 6.6 or higher. If you have GTX 1080, then you will have to either update your GPU or ask for a refund.

I would have picked up a new card over a PS5. I played this originally on the PS5 and you have to play in performance mode for it to not be stuttery and it's a blurry mess...If you got the pro you should be alright as you can run the quality mode at 60ish fps iirc but that is a wild purchase when a new card would have been a drastically better deal.

lmfao has OLD goated card......never wants to upgrade......so goes and gets a ps5.....to play with subpar graphics settings.......hmmmm you were never a "real computer gamer" but enjoy that 30 fps.... :)
