So, FFVII Remake on Epic Games, FFVII Rebirth on Steam = No bonus items? [Solved]
If you have Remake on Epic Games and Rebirth on Steam, you cannot get the bonus items?

You're not supposed to put the files in Rebirth's folder, but in the folder Rebirth is looking for.

The bonus items would be inside the settings menu or whatever, but you can't unlock them in Rebirth until chapter 2 in Kalm. For Remake, I forget if its available at start or a bit later as well. You just need the right version/save imports for the summons and stuff.

its based off saves and since their save was on epic it wont transfer to the steam version

All you gotta do is move or copy your save file over to the folder Rebirth would expect a Steam Remake save to be located at and it'll work.

Yep, I played FF7 Remake on PS4/PS5 and just downloaded game saves and put them into the right folder, bam, got the items on PC.

You're doing it wrong. You just need FF7 Remake folder that contains a save file. It doesn't even have to be owned by you.

As the others said, you can just make the save file and transfer. It is what I did since I originally played it on Epic, myself.

Also, there are additional bonuses based on the type of game you bought like pre-order, Deluxe, etc.
Thanks for your help, everyone.

I tried moving the Remake saves to Rebirth's, but unfortunately, that didn't work. The game couldn't find any Remake saves, despite there being lots in its save folder.

To make matters worse, the presence of the Remake saves in Rebirth's save folder actually soft-locked the game during the save loading process.

Though, It does explicitly states that the saves need to be from the same platform and the same account, I find that SE should have made the bonus items accessible throughout all platforms the game is available for by default, all the more since I paid the full price for both games.

The game is beautiful, fun to play, runs well and is very well optimised. But I'm gonna give it a thumbs down in Steam's recommendation just to give SE a gentle notch that they should really reconsider whether they really think their costumer service is setup as it should be.

Well I'll be...?! This worked! This actually worked! Thank you ever so much! Why the devs hid this from us is really beyond me.
