9070xt users - any tips for judder/hitching?
Just got a 9070xt with a 5800x3d and the juddering when panning is really bad. Im not using any mods, just vanilla game. How is it still in this shape?

Its playable but this state is quite bad. 7 Remake had none of these issues.

Has anyone found any tweaks that actually help with the judder/stutter? Ill try anything at this point.

I've used mods to fix it.
Cap the framerate.

The first mod allows you to use the second mod. The second mod is a custom engine.ini that improves stuttering and increased visuals at no fps loss. I use them (and many other mods, including HD textures) and it helps a lot with my 6750 XT.

How's performance otherwise? I have the same CPU and I really want to get a 9070 XT. I have to play at 1440p and use lossless scaling for decent performance so I haven't played much since getting to infamous Gongaga.
Game is poorly optimised piece of sh!t

So a typical Square pc port. Cutscene stutter is another issue you can fix with https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy7remake/mods/168?tab=posts

That's a remake mod.

None of this stuff actually works though. At best it's a placebo.

Turn off any variable refresh rates or dynamic resolutions min/max 100%. Explicitly tell the game to do a locked frame rate. Use TAA in game, not TAA-U

go into Andrenaline software and for the game advanced settings get some "enhance game settings" Anti aliasing. and also wait for refresh.
Here you have the solution: go to your Bios and disable Resizable bar (also known as Smart Access Memory in some).
Thank me later
More nonsense.

It helped my 3070 with its limited vram. This game eats up vram like god knows what

I was playing it on a 3060 ti before (with identical vram). I still managed around 60 FPS with DLSS up-scaling at 4K most of the time with medium settings. (I wasn't CPU limited.) The stuttering was unplayable on higher settings so I just didn't use them, namely the textures were the biggest problem.

Moving to a 9070 XT has generally been better since I could go to ultra settings, native 100% rendering, and still have a more solid FPS, but I had no choice either since I couldn't use DLSS. As long as the FPS stays above 60 I'm not sure if it matters too much whether "stuttering" causes it to vacillate from 90 to 60.
60fps 4k on a 3060 with 8gb of vram

lies. Pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lies.

It's so weird. What do these people get out of lying about stuff like this? It's bizarre.

A tip here disable Smart Acces Memory in bios this remove stutter complete someone said this to me on Facebook, but did not test it myself as to busy with working and other stuff so less gametime for here. Please let me know if it works for you thanks
