Boy you are looking for a specific narrative and you will stop at nothing to make sure everything meets it. I'm glad I matured in life and didn't become so ignorantly close minded.
Wikipedia is very biased, especially when it comes to political topics.
Ad hominem.
It's hilarious how so many people are attacking OP, making the most emberassing bs up and raging about a topic with just some sources and interviews aka facts.
This is a Wendy's.
I like stories. When someone is pushing a narrative, I can't help but notice it. It's simple pattern recognition. Especially when I'm able to compare to the OG, the changes and their reason for existing become obvious. As far as the Remake goes, they really did leave no stone unturned. The spiteful thoroughness with which they took a torch to it was incredible.
Is Rebirth different? Not based on what I've seen. Only a few minutes worth of clips yet it's the same as Remake.
I'm more than prepared to argue things at length, but I don't think it's likely I'd find someone with the patience for that.
And don't get me wrong i'm very anti woke, but i'm a culprit as a buyer for this game for 1 reason : nostalgia.
See in 1997 when i saw the ads on TV i so wanted to play the game that i took my first summer jobs and other little odd jobs this year to buy a playstation and FF7.
And i loved every second of it !
And here we are, almost 30 years later and i just wanted to taste a bit of this times
Almost all of the changes in Remake were woke. I wouldn't be surprised if Rebirth were worse.
the problem and people afraid of inclusion due too paranoia or bigotry and bias,
or
their being to much inclusion to the point even gay and transgender people think its over done or ruins the main characters and they didn't ask for altercations to speak for them.
IN MMO RPG being able to create a character to reflect you is important.
In other stories it may or may not work. a variety of NPC's or characters is ok if balanced right. TO much and it can ruin the story and not be realistic.
Demanding representation in every game can affect balance.
Being hateful if it does is ones own internal hatred. and weakness.
Jumping on the bandwagon of hate because you think its popular is surrendering your mind and soul.
You can enjoy a game for what it is or ruin your own experience by over analyzing
Companies are also not going to change their feelings and ideas to fit those who direct hatred towards others. There is a certain dark... red haired girl that learned that over hate will drop your viewership. Not only that but her channel resulted in her termination from a company due to policy violations and her co-workers would not work with her due to her hiding it.
When a person purposely makes a post about a game having representations of a variety of people, no matter how limited, to stir issue.... It is the same as walking into a room and screaming. "I'M A BIGOT" to the top of your lungs.
The game has limited Representation and you seriously have to be looking for it in the NPCS.
2 girls holding hand at one place.
2 guys talking about wanting escape the chaos and get a home away from it all.
3 other random same gender appearance npcs walking together in De sol.
I had to go back to find them because honestly I didn't notice as I was focused o the story and tasks. Meaning a person has to purposely be over looking for it to make it an issue.
