you do get some answers, but you are left with more questions. the intent is to give you mystery to a 27 year old plot that everybody knows
some say it’s a sequel, some say it’s not.. i don’t think it is. i think they introduced some elements that give you the fear of changing the story but if you look at the story beats… the party is still doing all the exact same things as the original game. i think the devs are just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with us to keep some mystery to the plot so that it feels new.
otherwise it would just be like “and then this happens, and then this happens…”. like hearing your dad tell you the same story 80 times and you pretend it’s the first but it’s not funny anymore, you’re just being nice
