Still, maybe they're only going to pass on storefront exclusives like Epic, but still want the huge pile of cash I can only assume Sony is giving them for PS5?
as far as the wait between games, it’s honestly been pretty fun. the point of the cliffhanger is to generate conversation and theories and debate, and getting in on figuring all that out with the rest of the fans has been really hype. you’re missing out
we can’t have ff7 retold in this fidelity and expanded detail and have it all be in a single title, so i will gladly take a few years between them. we’re almost at the end now and i am a little worried about what i am going to replace this hype with when it is over

That said, don't you lose out on all that conversation and theorizing when you have to wait a year? By the time PC players get the game, all that discussion is old news, no? Unless you're playing on console and then rebuying on PC.
Looking at this, they did say this later in the article:
"Naturally, we wanted to get the PC version into players' hands as quickly as we possibly could," he says. "We don't get anything out of delaying its release either. That said, I don't think there's much more we could have done to speed up the porting process. Looking at the results, I think the time we've put into optimizing the game for PC was time well spent."
So they're pretty much claiming that the delay for PC is inevitably the time it takes to optimize for PC, implying that a day 1 release on all platforms just means a delay for all platforms? Don't get me wrong, I definitely see what looks like a desire to stop the timed exclusivity, but they seem to be hedging a lot here. Saying what people want to hear without making any commitment.
its a shame, but people fall for it, and thats why they do it
PC porting took long because contract with Sony probably didnt allow them to make version for both platform at the same time while for day one multiplatform releases usually both versions are being worked at the same time.
So if they no longer have exclusive contracts then both version will be worked on at the same time and released at same time cause it makes no sense to delay game for one platform if there is no timed exclusivity contract.
I am just angry that we wait all this time and then get some of the worst PC ports of all time
should’ve grabbed the twin pack on steam
