Is there a way to use Epic Games Store save data for Steam Games?

Just wondering, the PS5 version detects save data when you start the game and if it's present you get a few extras. I played this game but on the Epic Games store on PC. Is there any way anyone is aware of to use save data from other platforms to pass these "checks?" Thanks.

According to Square Enix, Remake also needs to be in your Steam library to receive the rewards for the Steam version of Rebirth, so just copying save data over from EGS to Steam probably isn't sufficient. We won't know for sure until somebody tries it out on release day.

Itll probably scan your computer for the save or itll have you select it yourself if it cant detect it. Or atleast I hope its like that. Other games have done it that way so I dont see why not.

If you have a save where everything is unlocked and then use that on Steam without the Deluxe edition, you still have everything, at least that's the case with Remake.

There has to be some way to detect Remake save data. Otherwise, anyone can just grab the folder from the internet, stick it into the steam library, and grab free loot.

iam sure a modder will find a way to bypass this and allow everyone to use it

Yeah you can do that with most games that have save transfer support you just need to know the game id and usually your steam id. Its the same way when people download other peoples saves to earn acheivements. Sometimes you gotta edit the save with your id but sometimes you dont. In alot of cases you just create a folder with game id. Then you can look up the file structure beyond that folder and just mimic it and place the necessary files where they need to go.
