Rtx 4070 super vs Rx 7800 xt
With the game requiring rtx card as minimum requirement, I assumes that this game uses ray tracing throughout the game.

At 1440p high settings, which will perform better?

Took the 7800XT and I am happy with my purchase. Does nVidia has a better footing in the GPU space? Undoubtedly, but the 7800XT is cheaper and has more VRAM and is a good card for 1440p.

You might also look into the upcoming B580. With an A series card listed as minimum, this can be as well be a good purchase for a small budget.

If your power bill and budget has no constraints, go for nVidia. Otherwise I would recommend the 7800XT

Both are excellent cards with comparable performance in most games. It is just a question if you want to pay the Nvidia tax or not. I'd go with the RX 7800 XT, because it is cheaper and has more VRAM, which would give the GPU more longevity.

Yes, and I would like to know in this particular game which card would perform better, but for now, I guess I'll have to wait for to actual release to know it.

AMD makes great cards. My main issue with getting an AMD GPU is that way too many developers don't properly support their video drivers, so it feels like more of a gamble. But no doubt, their cards are powerful yet cheaper.

On top of that the Ray tracing performance is not there yet AMD made some good gains on the 7000 series. But when their drivers are hit or miss it can be a pain to downgrade back to the old ones. Still love my 6750 xt tho it ran Remake pretty well tbh, I just moved on to a 4070 Ti super just for the added features etc Nvidia is better at.

Yeah, you explained my grievances and concerns well. We pay a premium for Nvidia cards, but for the foreseeable future, I'm more comfortable paying more for fewer issues.

If this game have RayTracing and you want to turn it up then the RTX 4070 Super will be the better choice. But i am not really sure if a 4070 Super or a Rx7800xt will be enough at 1440p high settings, maybe it will work but i think it wont be enough, test it you can teak settings at the end but the 4070super is the better choice but why you just dont get the Rx 7900xt for that money of the 4070 super ?

Because in my country rx 7800 xt and 4070 super cost the same, 7900 xt is 200 usd more expensive

also the RX 7800 XT have 16 GB VRAM so that extra VRAM migth help with 1440p high settings
