Most likely needs a higher feature set in a later version of DX that isn't supported on newer cards.
FF7 Remake was most likely designed for PS3, and was transferred over to PS4 when it was in development, then transferred to PS5 when it took too long.
It plays a lot like FF XIII, and was originally built on the Crystal Tools engine. I have a feeling it was supposed to tie into "Fabula Nova Crystallis", but it was a bit of a flop, which delayed FF7;R.
Rebirth was probably developed much more recently as a PS5 game.
If you say so
Square did not like what they were doing so fired them, and took over the project and dumped everything they did and started from scratch. It took them till 2020 to solidify and put out the first part of the Remake project.
The ps5 version was an updated version with the Yuffie Story. To tide people over till Rebirth.
This was announced the year PS3 came out.

Then you purchased very very low end laptop, you get what you pay for.
Hold on a minute there friend 😑, my specs are a gen 13 intel I-5 a nvidia rtx 2050 (4GB) and a 8GB of RAM. That all I can afford when i purchased it was about $1099 bucks with tax the other ones I looked at that had higher specs was $6000 bucks plus tax now i don’t make millions but at the time the laptop i bought I thought that would be strong enough to play all my games and new games that could come out in the future but i didn’t predict that some of the AAA Games would need more power than that.
Still someone mentioned that i can play some of the higher spec games on a place call “GeForce Now” i have purchased a game that needed more power to play it and that person mentioned that site so i check it out and it seems to have some good deals so I do hope that rebirth will be added on GeForce Now in the future so I can play it without having to buying a new gaming rig and play all high end AAA games on my low end computer.

It was never developed in to any sort of full game. In fact it was this demo that sparked the FF7 remake rumours and fan desire for it to be remade.

This was made in 2015 announcing it for the ps4.
2050 ESPECIALLY 4gb version is ultra low end, CPU is decent and 8GB ram is bottom of barrel in 2024 where even 16gb is considered too little.
I understand if someone cant afford better but dont expect to play demanding games on this as this is very very low end.
Btw, same price desktop would have much better components than laptop.
Ah i see.... I am saving up for a more middle end (at least) new gaming laptop for the future that had at least a 8GB graphic card and 16GB of ram but for now i can play some of my high end games on geforce now i know rebirth won't be on geforce now "yet" but for now i will add it in my library for safe keeping.
Get a desktop, laptop with exact same components as desktop will always be less powerfull as those are lower powered "mobile" components, also 8GB GPU is also really pushing limits as most newer games tend to use 12 ro even 16gb VRAM.
Desktops last longer, are more powerful for same price and can be upgraded unlike laptop.....
Yes, it was going to be on PS2. They turned it into a remake on the FFXIII engine for PS3. They moved it to PS4 because it was stuck in development hell, then they switched engines again and it still took 5 years after.
The gameplay looks very dated, especially compared to FFXV. Walk into a wall in remake, and you just keep running. Walk into a wall in FFXV, and Noctis will stop and touch the wall. There's no hills or inclines, or indoor buildings in FFVII:R, it's entirely flat and 2 dimensional.
