PSA: You can fast travel anywhere to skip/cut Yuffie annoying singing

Everytime you mount in the chocobo and Yuffie starts her annoying singing you can just fast travel anywhere, even to the same place you're already are to skip/cut her singing.

Sadly the game doesn't have an option to just turn her singing off.

Oh god did I hate that stupid singing.

Ok if she just did it once. It was irritating then.

Who came up with 'lets make her keep doing it for the entire play-through of the region - I think it would be cute'.

They just seem to actively make you want to despise this character.

I thought it was supposed to be the point to make her remind you of a kid who sings songs to annoy you on long road trips. At least she only sings it in Cosmos Canyon.

It's not exactly a genius idea to have a fictional character parrot a tedious 'song' virtually every time the player calls a chocobo in this region.

This is entertainment, not a dissertation on how annoying kids can be on long road trips.

You do not contrive to create some maddening gimmick like this in a computer game.

We have jobs to deliver more than enough tedium as it is.

The simple fact is that whoever wrote Yuffie is a deeply immature individual who was given way too much power to do whatever they wanted. And abused that power to annoy the ever living f* out of the player character, in as many forms as is humanly possible.

They should be fired. But IMO Yuffie has 'checkbox hire' written all over her. No way whoever came up with this crap did so on merit.

I actually like the song just because I always make up lyrics to the chocobo music and always assumed everybody else did too, so to me it was a play on that which I found hilarious. It doesn't pop up enough to make me annoyed but if it does in your game then I could see how that might get annoying. I just thought it was understood that we all make up lyrics to the chocobo song, hence the joke.

Also, the chocobo song is the same throughout the FF series and I played them all long before this game and I ALWAYS made up lyrics to it. I'd post my lyrics but they aren't that great.
