You can put the sv_unlockedchapters command in then disable sv_cheats again. I forget if it'll stay that way after quitting again and such, though it should.
yeah good thanks for the tip got to try this.
achievemensts are blocked if you have sv_cheats (allows people to cheat) set to 1
so if you set sv_cheats to 0 after you've done the chapter unlock "cheat", just type (i nthe console): sv_cheats 0
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Half-Life 2\hl2\save
to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Half-Life 2 Update\hl2\save
For the other usages start new chapter as mentioned before, or bring console and type map <mapname>. The list of map names: http://wiki.sourceruns.org/wiki/Half-Life_2_Maps
