Turrets marking me as hostile.
Hey, I'm in the Entanglement chapter and I was wondering if I'm the only one having problems here. Because, apparently, turrets should work as "allies" with me now, but instead of attack the Combine, they attack me. Anyone had this problem? If so, it might be a bug.

Thank you so much for the immediate reply. Here are 3 screenshots I've just took.

These first two are from the first turret standoff. One when Alyx says that she will reprogram the turrets and the other one of said turret firing at me.

Happened to me a long time ago on normal HL2.

I retested this part to provide a way to reproduce.

map : d2_prison_07 (start of it)

Advance in direction of the grid and the control room.
Trigger : coming to another control room blabla
Don't advance enough to trigger the grid closure.
right strafe you see the soldier.
You kill the soldier, the other come. it may or may not trigger the second message "my guess... reprograming sentries".
Grid is still open.
Quicly go back to d2_prison_06
Then return to d2_prison_07
Enjoy bugged SG!

This bug can happen with ppl low on health and nervous, they advance per milimeter, they search for ennemies and are prudent. once the ennemy killed, they are low and health and go back to 06 triggering the bug.

Did you do that ?

moving the grid closure trigger may be a solution

Well, I did travel from 07 to 06 accidentally a couple of times. I was low on health and accidentally returned to the previous part. So, it makes sense what you're telling me.
Fortunately, (And, after dying and restarting a lot of times) I could pass both parts and the turrets that I got in the teleport part did not mark me as hostile. So, yay for me! :D

It's still on the original HL2. redone it on the original today after you asked.

Also, thank you for this great version of Half-Life 2. I enjoyed it a lot. You've done an amazing work. After this, can't wait to see what you have for the future!

Hey there, I have the same exact problem as Mafu...
First fight using 2 "friendly" turrets : they mark me as hostile, but I could win this one
Second fight, there are 3 of them, but it's getting harder, as they still mark me as hostile and there are more ennemies :(
Any idea to fix the bug on my saved game ?
Filip, you talked about fixing this bug in the next patch, could you achieve this ?

It seems this hasn´t been fixed yet, I just tried it and was able (unintentionally) to trigger the bug, I have the last version installed from steam for Windows.

There will be no updates for now since we are updating the engine.

Since you are updating the engine, will custom skins no longer work as they do now? I have some custom skins for this game, most of which are minor changes. The engine that powers Portal 2 handles skins in a different, less efficient way.

Previous made models and skins will work just fine.

The MGTs did that to me once last year but didn't occur till I was about to enter the transporter room. I used to drag all the MGTs to said room. I 1st noticed it when the MGT I was holding began firing on Dr. Mossman through the windows. I restarted the level and it corrected the problem.

However I still have a launcher issue, if I have any rnds for the launcher during transport to Dr. Kleiner's lab the laser guidance system disappears. I don't touch the launcher till GS#7 so it was a shock.
