Throwing objects, cannot do this in this version ?

The regular Half-Life 2 had the ability for you to pick up items and give them a toss. I know this as in the very start of the game one of my favorite things to do was throw a bottle at a guard and run through the turnstyle to avoid the minor beating.

Does not seem this version will let you do that, could anyone confirm please ?

Something wrong on your side. Check keyboard controls in options menu.

I just played the original Half-Life 2 (Non Update) and in that version I can throw small objects, but still cannot in Half-Life 2 Update.

Same key in both versions to pick up an object "The E key" and in both version you can pick up an object, but only in the older version can you use left mouse button to throw.

I have rechecked this multiple times now and the UPDATE version, the one with the commentary will not allow it. At this point I am curious as to why as it is verified now.

Well if that is true I should mark your answer as the correct one Nemesis, all I received for help was to tell me my keys were wrong and the problem was my end. Shame too as I would have just enjoyed a straight truthful answer from the powers that be.

A few more days and I will mark Nemesis as having the most reasonable solution/answer.
