Now, assuming you ARE infected, here's the things that will likely happen-
1. You get tested, and not much time has passed: Your test explodes violently. Get a vaccine to cure yourself.
2. You get tested and a lot of time has passed: Your test explodes, and then you transform and lose control of your body.
3. Little time has passed and you die without your head exploding- you are dead.
4. A lot of time has passed and you die to something without your head exploding- You transform into a head spider.
5. A lot of time has passed and you die to a headshot or an infected crushing your head- You are dead.
6. The infection itself kills you- You lose control of your body, the infection grows some extra limbs, and starts hunting your old teammates. If it retains a head it will likely sprint around. If it somehow lost its head for any reason, it will only walk around.
The vaccine cures you at any point before the infection takes control.
*Funny Note: The infected version of you continues to carry anything you had in your hands when you die, such as flashlights, glowsticks and weapons, though it won't use the latter.
If you get aggro'd by an enemy and have Airborne infection on, then the game rolls a chance to infect you then and there.
