AMD combatibility Issue and other bugs
AMD Issue:

I have a RADEON RX6800XT. Everytime I launch the game I crash whenever I open settings. I managed to fix this by going to general settings>Launch Options> And typing -dx11. However I see no textures (even though i verified integrity of game files 10 times and reinstalled the game 3 times and tried even installing it on a different disk drive). Also instead of snow ground I see unity floor. I don't see snow mountains so I keep hitting the mountains and getting lost. I don't see the red lights on the base camps. I really like this game I hope it gets fixed. Also whenever I crash I can't submit a report on unreal engine it says something about "No specific server" and the send and restart option is grayed out. And whenever I crash amd tells me there's a GPU driver issue even after restarting my pc several times and looking up for several potential fixes online I couldn't fix it (My GPU driver is up to date). I know this is an AMD compatibility issue because I played with 5 friends who all have NVIDIA and they encountered no texture issue or any problems I mentioned above.

Bugs:

-Grenades: They don't always explode where you throw them. sometimes they explode a 20 meters away towards a different direction that where i throw it. Example i could throw it on the floor (basically trying to end myself) and suddenly hear and see an explosion 10 meters above me and I'm still alright even tho i threw a grenade on my foot.

-Audio: Reviving a player, makes them audible to every player in game regardless of distance or proximity.

- Computer panel: One of the 5 players I played with mentioned that whenever they interacted with the computer in game after a few seconds they get forcibly kicked out of the computer so they have to keep interacting several times, and even so they can't click anything on the computer panel.

- Rebound Interaction key Pop Up Bug: When you change the interaction key for example from "E" to "F" and you go to a vehicle and hover over it. It still shows that I need to Press E to enter the vehicle when it should be "F".

- Weapons: Flame thrower sometimes doesn't deal damage. (Confirmed with other players in my session)

- Vehicle Issue: Snow-bike takes damage just by driving over snow even though I'm not hitting anything. This issue caused one of my teammates to explode due to the vehicle taking damage while driving over supposedly smooth snow.

- Player Skin Bug: Sometimes after finishing a game and returning to the lobby. Player skins don't load.

Suggestions:

-Audio: Adding a voice chat volume control bar for other players would be helpful, playing with 5 people made me realize that some are louder than the others and I can't reduce their individual volume or increase it. (Really Important for CO-OP)

- More Audio Control: Adding more audio control bars to customize the sound experience for the user would be a great addition to this game. It will help both me and my friends greatly since we like to record our gaming sessions. And having the option to decrease or increase volumes of different sounds can make our game experience more smooth and our game clips sound more natural. (Customizing Audio Profile)

- Helicopter: The durability of the helicopter can be better. I tried to land it as smoothly as possible but it exploded instantly. (Helicopter is fragile)

- Repair Tool: A repair tool for snow-bikes.

- Vehicle Flip-Over Button: When the snow-bike is upside down. Having a way to flip it over would be helpful.

- Vehicle Speed: Increasing the speed of the snow-bike would be more optimal to cover the vast distance of the map. Perhaps adding a way to drive faster at the cost of more fuel.

- Vehicle Fuel Meter barely visible: It can be helpful to make it more visible especially for people who have lower graphic settings. Making it more visible would be helpful.

- Inviting friends through steam overlay

- A walkie-talkie for long distance communication (Not sure if there is one)

Me and my friends really love this game. I'm looking forward for future updates.
I'll leave a positive review in the steam page since I know this game has massive potential.
Please keep up the good work.:steamhappy:

Here's More information regarding the AMD Compatibility Issue:
After writing my review above I attempted to launch the game without -dx11 in my launch options. I encountered a black screen which froze both my monitors for 5 minutes. After that my screen went back to normal and I saw an unreal engine window open up.

This is what was displayed:
"Nuclear Nightmare Crash Reporter"
"An Unreal Process has crashed: UE-NuclearNightmare"
"Following summary Infromation:

ntdll"

3 Options below are displayed:

Close without sending Send and close Send and restart

I can only click on the "Close without sending" Option.
The other 2 are grayed out meaning I can't click them. And when I hover over them
it says "No Server Specified"

And here's what AMD Bug report Tool mentioned:
"AMD Software detected that a driver timeout has occurred on your system"
I've reported this to AMD as well.

Great feedback thank you this is exactly what I need to make the game better! And I really appreciate the positive review it goes a long way.

As for the AMD crash it sounds very similar to an issue with intel i7s and i9s. A user was experiencing the same issue where they had to launch with -dx11. Right now our game only supports dx12. This article shows how to fix the issue:

https://www.quodsoler.com/blog/how-to-fix-crashes-in-unreal-engine5-games-on-intel-i7-13700k-and-i9-13900k-series

After the user followed the instructions from this article it fixed the same issue you are describing.

This was caused by a bad update they had did.
Most probably you also have one of the following Intel CPUs:

i7-13700K, i7-13700KF
i9-13900K, i9-13900KS, i9-13900KF
i7-14700K, i7-14700KF
i9-14900K, i9-14900KF

I use a Ryzen 5800X CPU with a Radeon 6800XT GPU.
When I launch the game in -dx11 the game is perfect and never crashes however
it's missing textures for snow and some lights and snow mountains.

When I launch the game in -dx12 I have textures however, it crashes almost within 1-2 minutes of launching the game.

When I launch the game without a lunch option. It instantly crashes after my monitor blackscreens for a few minutes.

Will look into this and see what I can do. I may be able to do a new build version for dx11

If you did a dx11 version, would the game work on a Win 7 machine?

I have an rx 7600 and ryzen 7600 and i have yet to crash but my performance is terrible dropping into 30 fps no matter what resolution/setting. I get a lil bit more perforamnce if i turn frame generation and launch from the AMD software.
I have the same issue as the OP here, game crashes randomly, sometimes within a minute of booting and sometimes i can play for a couple of hours. I've tried changing graphics settings around too.

When it does crash, it it reboots my PC but the monitors remain off and unresponsive (admittedly i haven't waited 5 minutes to see if they come back on). i'm also running an RX 6800XT with a 5800x3D.

I hope this helps, if you think there may be any more useful info i can offer just let me know. My friends and I have really been enjoying the game!
I have a plain RX 6800 and I have a bug where the game will run fine on flatscreen, but if I even have SteamVR open in the background while launching the game it will cause the PC to hang and eventually get a driver timeout. Haven't had this issue elsewhere. I was going to try using the UEVR injector mod, but I don't think that will be happening yet. Runs well on flatscreen though.
I have a ryzen 5800x3d and everytime the game starts it instantly crashes, I haven't gone past the first screen till now and after that it keeps giving me a error, have already tried reinstalling and all that 5 times
