Perk system obtuse and frustratingly confusing
How do you get perks?
Why do you lose XP when un-selecting them?
Why does the game not warn the player that perks un-selected are WASTING xp?

It's just a pile of feelbad for a game I was looking to spend a few hours here and there with my friends - now it feels like a nonsensically grindy (Korean level grindy) game.

I could unfortunately not refund because I have 3 hours on the clock, but the negative review stays until the perk system is completely overhauled.

The perks are unlocks that you can then use in game at a vending machine, it will give you a random one from your perk tree if you don't want it you can re-roll this two times, you can find other vending machines to select extra perks also allowing you to re-roll them twice if you don't like the initial perks.

i dont find the perk system that confusing. Sure the xp loss from unselecting perks is unfortunate but the whole game could be played through on nightmare without perks. The reason why I say that is because the perks arent that crazy important. You COULD spend several hours min-maxing the perk system tree but whats the point if youre only really going to use two or three of them.

Perks aren't very complicated. How this system works is kinda like... picking a preferred custom loadout. You select a number of perks that you think could be useful to you in a match, and -only- those selected perks will be visible in the vending machines in-game.

The great thing about this system is that it can cater to those who wants only a few reliable-to-get perks, or cater to players who wants to enable all possible perks for an absolute wild RNG ride.

Also, selling your unlocked perks returns 50% of the points spent on it. I honestly think that's fair, since it means you have to put some thought into what setup you'd like.

I understand that you might feel frustration since the perk-system isn't very clear at first, but i think you're exaggerating pretty hard comparing this to Korean grind-systems and demanding a complete overhaul of a system the rest of us seem to manage just fine.

Besides, this game is like... 7 euros when it's not on sale. (Got mine at like 2.6 euros during a sale. Which is about the same price of a large soda in my country.) Asking for a refund seems a little silly.

Even after your explanation - I have no idea how it works. Because I can't click the ones to the left. Only gasGussler, that reads as a skill I want NOTHING to do with.
I dont care about the money - I care about the atrocious waste of time this game is because of its HORRENDOUSLY BAD skillsystem... (or - as you conceeded UI)

Now stop eating d***s and INSTEAD push for the system getting better!

I'll "stop eating ♥♥♥♥♥" the moment you get your head out of your own ass. If so many of us can figure out the perk-system, with you being the exception, maybe the system isn't the problem. Your inability (or unwillingness) to use your own head is what's resulting in the "waste of time" aswell as the attitude you bring to your own thread. Which is a bit ironic considering how much you seem to care about wasted time. By the by, throwing flak at people taking interest in your issue is a pretty unclassy move.

You unlock perks by spending points on unlocking whole tiers. (Full group of perks)
Once you've unlocked a whole tier, the perks of the next tier-zone becomes available to you. You have to spend points on the D-tier in order to unlock perks of the C-tier, and C-tier in order to get to the B-tier. Etc.

Does this make more sense to you?

Actually, It doesn't. Because the game, doesn't tell the player any of this...
Nor does the game say that speccing points are "purchases", not allocations.
Nor does the game say that unchecking a point is selling, rather than un-allocating.

There is absolutely no point in the specializations being purchases, rather than allocations...
It turns the game into a disgusting grind, rather than a fun exploration - in this early access.

It's fine - you can like the obtuse UI and pointlessly punishing skill-system... I don't.
Should the dev read this - he can do as he pleases - I'm done with the game in its current state either way.

As response to "throwing flak at people taking interest in your issue":
I might not have turned feral on you if you hadn't come off as a Stan.

It was my quit moment.
The dev can do with that what he wishes.

Nobody here is holding you at gunpoint and forcing you to like the game, but if you can't handle a discussion and -mild- criticism without resorting to personal attacks then maybe you shouldn't open a thread to begin with. If you consider me acting like a "Stan", then you have the composure of an infant. Grow some thicker skin.

Just telling you like it is. Ain't my problem you can't handle a conversation like an adult.

I will be moving on however, there's no pleasing a spoiled brat.

I'll take it, I guess...
though, I'd rather have a refund.

Perk system is exceptionally easy to understand.
All it takes is to 'read' them. Their function is exactly as stated.
