general thoughts
here are some of my general thoughts after playing the game for two sessions with my friends

i got super confused at first by the voice settings, i did't understand if input gain meant at what level of noise it will pick up or if it meant volume and the toggle for voice chat was confusing cause it had to be unchecked to be turned on. on top of that you having to press the button once to turn on the voice chat at the start of the game made it so multiple people where talking and nobody heard them. an option to have an indicator for noise or smt on screen would be nice imo and an "voice activity" option would also be nice.

I really like how the missions work, at first it felt a bit confusing to me since i didn't know what to look for and such but i feel like it came to us pretty fast. I feel however that there could be a bit more in depth multiple action missions like for example:
something is wrong with a device outside, you need to go out to it, check a terminal of whats wrong, fix it and then go back inside and send out the report/ turn it on again.
or something like in voices of the void where you have to check which satellite needs recalibration, go outside to that satellite and then run the recalibration command on the thing (but without having to put in the commands like in voices of the void).

one problem we had with a mission however was the slaughterhouse, we went into the slaughterhouse to find what we needed and we found nothing, we looked around it thinking it was in one of the pods and after like 5-10 minutes we figured out that there was another door inside the slaughterhouse. what had happened was that it had been broken while standing perfectly in place so we didn't get the e press thing and never noticed that it was a door. i feel like this could be a problem in other places too since there are doors that cannot be interacted with but idk it was just a personal gripe against the slaughterhouse.

we've been mostly playing starting with walkie talkies because it felt more fun being able to communicate with each other especially since we tend to split up and go in 2 squads different ways so like you'd have absolutely 0 communication with the others without it and finding 2 walkie talkies felt super rare. i feel like there should be a thing where there's a radio inside of the locations that have the computer to call reinforcements n such where you can call into the walkie talkies/ other radios if the place has power.
i think it'd fit in there nicely also since that would mean if only one person has found an walkie talkie it still has an usage.

i feel like the soda machines are a 50/50 for me if they work? sometimes it just tabs me out from the menu and doesn't give me anything. although i really like the idea of them for a perk lottery.

it feels like fires stay way too long after a landmine and also landmines are frustratingly unforgiving at times. also when you play with the monster on death the little head things are unkillable but can trigger landmines to kill someone. i think there should be an thing in the terminal or something that lets you turn off the landmines in the area.

i got super confused on how the reinforcements worked, i think it'd be nice with a menu option you can click that can just say why you can't call in reinforcements because just no information is frustrating when you try to figure it out.

pickaxes shouldn't be a one shot kill. someone tried hitting a wall and accidentally hit me too killing me instantly.

I really like the map system and the poles with light however i think it'd be nice to have like a local map too? doesn't have to be anything fancy just something that shows you the general layout of the buildings because sometimes a building is just a bit too far to the side for you to find. this could be just something you have to pickup/ interact with locally to unlock but i feel like it'd be really nice to have sometimes.

The doors on slaughterhouse do blend in quite a bit yeah lol
