Use Pings, Flares and talking to other players to decide where to go for the evac before and during the match. More often than not, the player calling for evac either thinks everyone is nearby, doesn't know the "new" evac mechanics (they keep changing), or thinks everyone else is dead (you might be labeled as 'compromised' and they assume you'll be dead soon enough).
Again, communication is key (to EVERYONE reading this, not just OP).
New players are more likely to die without finding a weapon, not call in the evac out of spite.
I'd argue sticking together has quick diminishing returns due to limited items. Also not everyone wants to be Kurt Russel and stick together, sometimes you gotta get the Keith David experience. Just like the movie
I have never had someone troll by calling in an evac. I've been left behind like twice because someone called in an evac on the other side of the map. Once because the surviving players decided it was for the best, the second time was the group was confused as to where the evac was suppose to be called, both times the issue was cleared by COMMUNICATING with the other players.
Also, I'm not fighting you, this is relatively simple. And even so, one of the Devs are now considering yet another rework to allow players to work together better when unable to communicate across the map. Also, I have 40+ hours of play-time, so either you're experiencing an overabundance of trolls, or something else is wrong.
(EDIT): I also remember you from one particular match where you camped the Oil Plant the entire match while the rest of the team hit all the objectives, and complained loudly when the survivors evac'd at the airport. You, not they, were the problem here. In the old system you could have cost them the entire match because you were camping across the map, and instead the evac left you behind.
First of all i never camp a single place in a whole match. I may stay in an area because there's a possible monster outside wow i think everyone does that. I stream this game often with the recording available on twitch and you never see me camp so stop trying to spread false info trying to make me look bad when it's not even true. I just streamed earlier today and you dont see me camping at all.
2nd I have more than 50+ hours in the game and i would consider when 2 people in a game decide on evac on their own as a troll. When i stream i do talk even when there's no one around me in a game and it's normal for anyone to be upset if the evac is called without a team decision and leaving 1 person out when they are far away from the evac place. Literally stop being so toxic and trying to be right when everything you have said is false and inaccurate. Just stop lol.
Camping in one place for most of the match, not completing objectives, while the rest of the team heads north (and dies) and south (and eventually extracts at the Airport) while you stay in the Oil Plant building and kill monsters as they come inside is still camping. You can claim whatever you want, sure, but I watched you do it. You also got mad and tried to run towards the evac on foot, complaining the entire time about your team.
I don't honestly care. That was your actions. I haven't seen anyone purposefully trolling anyone else using the Evac (team killing, sure, even setting off tripwires when people are disarming them, and even stealing snow mobiles). I'm not saying it doesn't happen, it probably does somewhere. But in that one, singular, match, you were camping. I'm not saying you do it all the time, but I am saying that your post here and the match they called for evac while you camped at one place are awfully synced up in timing.
Can Evac be refined better? Sure. I'm not even saying that the Devs shouldn't try, they should, but I'm also stating here in this post and thread that I spectated you, and you can pretend you didn't camp during a whole match, but I seen it with my own eyes. It's the truth, and the fun part is that the truth doesn't require belief to be true.
the worst part is that the game didnt give us delicious xp :(
There are many objective locations that lead to dead ends. Base Camp 2 is in the middle of the map and is, in my opinion, the defacto evac spot. But if someone's down at airport, you need to give them time.
The worst part is even as host, once Evac is called, you can't kick.
Not that that matters. The devs thought they were clever, but me closing the server works just as well.
This happened twice, two games in a row. In two successful games. It completely ruined it the entire night for me And deflated my interest in continuing playing the game tbh, because I lost out 8000 exp. Both times it was considered a defeat since I didn't evac even though I was still alive.
Whats the point in even playing good if I get punished and lose out on everything? Complete waste of my time
Evac call time. Needs to be 10 minutes at a minimum to cover the length of the map.
