Can't find any info on if this game got booted by Valve for some sort of shady practices, or the company just decided to remove it from Steam, or what. I would expect they would have posted something on their feed, or the forum if they did it by their own choice, however.
Could be something like a copyright issue, or stolen content, or some false claim against it, or Valve could have just screwed up, whatever. Who knows.
hmm, well, im glad I played the game and 100%ed it before it got removed
question, do you not own the game?
Nope, I was clearing out my WishList of all the dead leaves. Haven't seen one missing a store page in a long itme.
"After a long period of radio silence we are here to share some news with you. Cloud Chamber has been retired and can no longer be purchased from Steam. We are extremely thankful for everyone who took a chance with Cloud Chamber and we know many of you truly enjoyed playing it. You have been a fantastic community and we owe you everything. The release of Cloud Chamber was exciting to us - it was our first release and it was a very different kind of game. As a studio we have really tried to learn from every experience with Cloud Chamber. And now we are ready with a new game, which has been under development for the last 2,5 years. It's different, but still with a strong focus on a great narrative. We have built a beautiful world that can be explored in an open-world fashion. Filled with adventure, puzzles and stories. We hope you will enjoy Aporia: Beyond the Valley as much as you enjoyed Cloud Chamber. Maybe even more."
It was a unique game and I really enjoyed the time I had in it. Yes, the acting was a bit cheesy sometimes, but that was part of it's charm. I liked the way it provoked interactivity in the forums to unlock stuff, but perhaps that was also part of it's unpopularity and downfall, as it relied somewhat on your posts being "liked" to unlock clues?
Anyway. Very sad to see it go (especially as I didn't get anywhere near finishing it), but I liked it so much that it's still on the HD and in my Steam Faves: guess I might as well delete it now.
Yes, a real shame.
If you delete it you wont get it back.
As long as the game is in the library he can download it again. A game doesn't need a store page for that. Like I can still download "the stomping land" as well, although it has been pulled from the steam store years ago. But it won't matter anyway, since the servers of cloud chamber have been shut down.
Don't know, totally glad that I fully beat this game before they removed it and shut down the servers for the "online experience" that made this game so realistic. All, I know is that it truely was a great game and I'm kinda sad that I will never be able to experience it again.
I consider this one of my proudest video game moments:

Thanks to a great community and great devs.
Cheers,

It would've been nice to pick upon GOG some time but it just doesn't sound realistic. :(
Shame I dragged my feet in getting this.
It was in my wish list too.
It took seven months to I notice it... meep!!!
Fancy bumping into you here mate.
I was just about to boot this game up and thought i'd check the reviews in the store and noticed that it's all gone, never even remember when I picked this game up but it's a shame to see that it has been removed.
Well... at least you have a rare game in your library. So many games from the Greenlight days are gone now. We all got most of them in junk bundles back in the day though when people bought games solely for the cards. Bundles had junk games, but as long as they had cards you bought them because they paid off. LOL
