I got 1 hour 6 minutes, but I could have finished several minutes prior to that. I just wanted to buy every upgrade from the shop and every upgrade from the mana tree first.

There's a clear path to doing this the fastest that someone will eventually make into a guide.

Just basically not wasting time concentrating on a skill unless you have the +exp item/magic to boost that skill etc.

i had a bit past 41 mins, stupid to not screenshot it so you'll have to trust me lol
ice arrows ended up doing most of the damage, so i focused my efforts on the ice and hit 41 mins, i can do better but i'm sure it'll be minutes of difference, unless i go full macro tool assisted speedrun mode.

There's some subtlety in which magic skills to get first and the trade off between the intrinsic value of a skill and it's utility in pushing for the next profession

42 flat. In the beginning i focus money. After you go to the city, you start getting significant passive exp. So I don't care about leveling up the current job, i just skip and go straight to the next available job to that passive exp. On the magic front i go, fire arrows, ice then portal. after that i don't really have a strategy. Just go for the 250% booster for whatever i need.
