Use the smelter to make gold bars.
Ahhh that's excellent. :)
I don't think I can build it, because I can't build an airlock for a compartment, and I can't build stuff in the starting room or open that stuck door (yet?). But now someone told me where to get some fabric I'll give that a go.
I honestly think there's too much to build early on, so it's really not clear what you should build first since you go from a handful of basic items to a couple of dozen in a few moments of exploration. I suspect it'd work better if you go out to do an early mission, then do the stuff from that then get offered the next section.
The point you need to reach is having oxygen, food and water at some point. So you have to make a lot of round trips.
As far as I can tell the random floating space junk that surrounds your starting base does respawn when you reboot the game even if you've cleared a lot. So those basics seem to come back.
Doesn't look like silver respawns anywhere so I assume there's some asteroids I haven't got to or can't reach that have enough. There's a few boundaries I've hit that I can't fly through as they're not in the prologue.
Really good start if it keeps going like this, and gets appropriate tweeks.
Ok cool I'll have a look for that node if it's respawning I think I know the one you mean.
There's gold coming in from the only miner I have so far. Thanks for the heads up. This game is much more difficult to explore than Planet Crafter but also much earlier in development obviously.
There's probably somewhere you can build a base that will mine it for you, especially outside the prologue.
And yes, that's a good way to deal with things. However, what devs need to know is what we're having problems with without looking at full on guides, so that they can decide if there's something they want to change so we also need to talk about things we don't understand, find confusing, or think are unbalanced.
