Dear devs, I opine you crossed the line with Aldric

This is just my opinion. I'm not the devs and I don't know the route they wanna take to this game. If they are happy making me exploding my sanity, they're free to do it.

I like this game and the challenges you have shown us to unlock all skins.

But you, me, and the other players know you put some tedious challenges although we focus just on the farming of these missions.

For example:

As Kavin cast 19440 Rocky Road Rocks

Well, just upgrade the wizard speed and it's done. 4 or 5 perfect games with nice RNG and it's done.

As the Moon Mage, attempt 28 missions

Ok, you can start a new game, fail 28 times the first mission and die. Very repetitive, but affordable.

As Ludwig, sacrifice 1066 enemies

PUFF... this one is a real pain in the basketballs. 10-11 nice games with nobody of your team killing any enemy in the mission.

That last one was the worst mission that existed in this game... UNTIL ALDRIC CAME.

432 Bewitched Fungi??? Mother-of-Dumbledore.

If the mission appear just 1 time (the usual) it appears 18 mushrooms per player (72 at maximum).

If you do this alone with no players taking any mushroom it gonna take 24 times to do this mission

24 times as minimum? Really? Aldric absorbs the gameplay of the other wizards just by the fact of repeat so many times his character to complete this mission.

The only asequible way to do this is being in a premade, and your partners let you to take ALL mushrooms, needing 6 entire games to take all of them, and your friends farming another wizard repeating this process x4 times (24 games too, but at least you farm other things).

And all the previous mentioned, all of this if the corresponding mission appears!

Really devs, your missions are escalating dangerously, but not because their difficult, but its tediousness.

This is just for a skin. I don't mind the 400+ mushroom hunt, and if it was given away too easily it would make it less special --in my opinion. Now, if you see someone with that skin, you know it took some fights, like a veteran medal.

They really love these grindy achievements. I got this game to 100% before Aldric, but I'm not gonna do that ♥♥♥♥ again <.< grindiest roguelite I've legit played

The numbers are still up to change! For now, we aimed to make the quests more long term goals you can work towards with every run, where some require some more focussed gameplay :)

not gonna lie, why bother myself playing and grinding asf for one skin for a Wizard i dont play ? c:
btw, im the only one who the game give me the middle finger every single time for the "Supernova" skin, like 2 fire for the circle.
either i get 0 fire, or i only get one and after that just the middle finger every single run

The best way to get this achievement with the least effort (assuming you are fully maxed out meta progression) is to do a solo moderate game, wait 2 min for the first objective. If mushrooms do it, if not quit and do it again. I can watch YouTube and just accept anything since its just 2 min into a game.

I get ya. It's a valid point.

As a counter-point, as already noted, it's just a skin. It can also be cheesed.

Feels fine to me, but then again, I like having at least a few challenges still not accomplished.

It's bad enough that you run out of upgrades (like much of those kind of games) but at least there's some "boxes" still to check, so the harder, the better.

Of course if I follow this train of thought, challenges without actual rewards (other than the own sake of accomplishing them) would make me just as happy.
