It's so weird that there's no chat during the game or before/after.

I can't tell my teammates gg or thanks for the save, etc.

I can't add friends and play with them again.

I can't emote or ping during a match.

We might as well be playing with PVE bots.

Maybe they're trying to be anti-toxic.. but Id still like to be able to chat in the lobby at least....

I know there's aholes everywhere but It's a co-op game I imagine most of the communication would be cool.

But giving people an option to block/ignore/mute would be important.

You can use in-game pre-determined messages. Just press 1-4 and it pops up.

There are in fact 16 different messages you can send. That is not a bad range.

Being able to add friends would be nice tho. Because some matches, I'm waiting a while... !

I would certainly enjoy, at the very least, a "Stop healing me!" quick chat option. Annoying investing in critical HP augments and relics to have somebody chasing you with healing aether.

Join the discord listed in the menu of the game, great community, plenty of friends to make, solves all of these problems for the time being

Sure, every game in the world has a Discord server.

Part of the appeal of automated matchmaking is the convenience of not having to use Discord or an external piece of software to organize and communicate with people.
