Useless Upgrades?
Are some spells not affected by certain upgrades? For example Solar Pulse and Cooldown Rate. It's kind of annoying to constantly roll upgrades that don't seem to actually upgrade my spells at all.

I think the cooldown on solar pulse affects how often it pulses damage. Like the spell damage rate on rocky road.

That's what I thought at first but I'm not convinced it's actually doing anything.

It does. However at higher tick-rates, it's hard to appreciate the difference as it's going so fast.

they all seem affected by all upgrades. cooldown is extremely powerful, also on solar pulse or aether beam. lower cooldown > more hits per second basically

Spell size doesnt seem to do anything for some. In fact, there are at least 3 that the increased size does nothing for. I found that out just now. Why is it even a chance to get a card to increase spell size if the spells you have do not use it? Either make general spells like that affect everything or don't have them in there or at the very least, make it so that it's not possible to get as an upgrade card if you don't have a spell that uses it.

I believe Spell Size is the only one that doesn't affect all spells. Refresh rate definitely works on all

Spell size won't even be offered to you unless you have at least one spell that would benefit from it, so it's a non-issue.

Spell size is definitely offered even if you don't have them. I've had it multiple times in the same game. You can tell which ones they affect by the little arrows. I believe it happens due to the way cards are rolled. The higher level you get into a game, the lower chance you get of receiving certain cards, which gives a higher chance for others. In this case, it was spell size. Though I haven't seen it for a week or so, so they may have patched it.

Edit: This is an issue with infinite mode only it looks like.
