(I've compeleted all achivements so I know the frustration)
good luck
The problem with the way it is now is that it takes so blasted long to get your spells to level 14 to get the second infusion only to not get what you were hoping for, and at that point you feel like just restarting the run, but then you're more likely to just have it happen again than actually have it go the way you want. It's quite discouraging when you're wanting to see a specific "build".
I agree when it comes to spells, but I'd be lying if I said elements feel like they offer a distinct and unique feel to each run. I cannot for the life of me tell you the difference between fire/acid, and anything they pair with. Every element so far just feels like a color, and when you mix them, it just feels like a stronger but different color.
Since each run can other inadvertently doom you from RNG I highly suspect that is also by design. There is no reason why always picking fire, over acid will change your run so much that you feel like you would want one over the other. Personally I just diversify as much as possible, but even then its purely out of superstition that there might be some benefit I don't know about.
I can do a simple Crash Course explanation in case you don't fully understand, as well as for anyone who happen to read....
Acid Makes the enemy weaker allowing your weapons to deal more damage, Fire deals damage over time, Ice slows down enemies and Lightning jumps to the closest enemy at half damage each jump
Upgraded Acid makes the enemy even more weaker for harder hits, upgraded Fire has a higher Damage over time, upgraded Ice freezes faster, and Upgraded Lightning Jumps more and I believe deals more (I don't use Lightning too often to remember well) [/quote]
