It does scale, not sure by how much
Lera Dec 3, 2024 @ 8:12pm
it scaled up ridicilously

I only went up to the second loop on a hardcore run and it just doubled enemy health/damage

I got to wave 6 in Moderate. Stack armor and you will be fine. Almost 20 hours in and done until more content is released.

It scales linearly. ALL mob stats are just multiplied by round number.
For example for round 10 everything will have hp x10 and damage x10

So, you are basically a glass cannon for the largest part

i made it to wave 7 on the hardest difficulty. normal enemies will deal 13k damage so max health / armor will be useless in late game. Only dodge and speed save you.

However, dodge caps around 65+. While still usable, it's far from reliable, so you'll need to rely purely on some speed and your skills.
7 aether beams with slow+lighting+someting like 150% range makes wonders, because lighting spead slow effect.

Dodge caps at 80% and is invaluable.

Enemy damage scales too high for HP or armor to matter, but their HP stays relatively low. With the proper build it can get easier as time passes (I resigned at wave 14 Hardcore Pyrestorm, as I couldn't see the end of it - maybe if my speed eventually reached 0).

A little secret if you didn't know, you can get negative speed so low you run backwards and gain infinite speed if you get a ton of armor and get the damage for losing speed by armor .... you can go faster than a speed build but you need the correct Relics and friends to save your life during the transition of not moving to moving again

Made it to wave 7 on hardcore. I seemed to be able to keep up with the scaling of enemy health fine, and for the most part i just didn't get hit. I did so much damage that I didn't really need to worry about getting hit most times as i could just kill everything coming at me pretty easy creating lots of space to move. What worked for me was having really high damage. In my opinion that is the way to go. Once your damage is high enough to easily keep killing (netting you more exp overall), which gives you space to move, you probably wont be getting hit that much. Then you can worry about survival traits. Until your spells cover your screen in the end...

Two reasons I died at the end:
  1. Getting tired/bored of the run.
  2. Could hardly see around my character anymore because of on-screen effects and infusion effects. Spells i had covering my screen: Arcane Broadsword, Solar Pulse, Rune Burst, Scepters.

Looks like a fancy bug, I had the relics but it was a solo run and I picked every speed upgrade I could, ending at -35%.

The trick is to not grab speed upgrades, you grab armor .... because you lose speed the more armor you have, you will eventually go to -100% speed ... but the thing is, it keeps going and goes to -105%, -140%, -200% and you start moving backwards because of negative speed after -100% .... you see where this is going? If you pick the armor relics along with this damage for -speed via armor, you eventually just gain speed without ppicking it

TBH any time I pick up the Offensive Defensive relic, I get offered a crapton of movement speed buffs almost immediately, and easily end up with more speed than I had before I took it. The game never seems to give me more than 1 or 2 armor upgrades, though that may be because I always take Joined Protection and end up being "soft capped" on it. Still, every time I level up and get 1 armor, I only lose 0.25 speed. And then I get a +18 speed upgrade offered and that's instantly offset like 72 levels worth of speed loss.

I got it but it's kinda hard to survive until then, not even speaking of doing objectives.

Lol yeah, it's ideal if you got buddies who can survive during your transformation hahaha
