This game is a masterpiece
I've dropped it and posted negative review about it after solving the opening case that left very mixed feelings. And I felt frustrated because of everyone died in opening case.

But i've decided to give a second chance for this story few days later. After 4 days and 45 total hours of gameplay I finally finished this game and I want to say this is masterpiece and unforgettable. Danganronpa 2 was my favorite whole time before this game, but Rain Code is really hits different. It is in my top 3 games with emotional and unforgettable story.
I changed my negative review to positive and recommend everyone who did the same definitely give it a try. Just don't compare it to danganronpa, it's a completely different game, different story with different way of narration.

Music, visual style and story. Everything is great and feels like it was made with love and passion. Among thousands of mediocre and forgettable games this was like hidden gem for me.

When it first released I had avoided all promotional material, so the death of the first set of characters also caught me completely by surprise. But them actually willing to do that gave me a feel that they had prepared something cool.

I did love this game though I think overall i like DR2 more. Also on an interesting note, being a DR fan or having played them DEFINITELY gives you a different way in experiencing this game and one of the twitst on it (I mean the blood of course), I do wonder how it hits for someone who hasn't played DR before, though I'm unwilling to mention the fact, lest it hinders their experience of Rain Code. I avoided all media about this before I played it so case 0 was amazing to me and just got me so invested. I didn’t think you could top the opening chapter or v3 but they found a way
