Are the global PS5, Xbox Series, and PC versions all launching on October 1?

Thank you.

This is so odd. So, the game itself will be launching on July 18th for purchase without English language support, even though the localization and dub already exist from the Switch version?

booo 🍅 the game was already in english
but why May 8, 2024 @ 9:04am
Makes zero sense the game and dlc was already translated and dubbed so why do we have to wait 2 whole months just to get languages that could be added on the release date all that's seems to be added is a gallery feature which shouldn't require any new voice work. unless there is something else new that would require voice work then the wait is completely pointless
Interesting choice. Care to justify it?

Please let everyone involved know it's not a good decision. It will impact the visibility and therefore the sales of this title. :steamsad:

What a ridiculous decision.

Are the french, spanish, italian and german translations based on the english or the japanese script?

that such BS if we have to wait til Oct 1st when the game is already translated and release for the switch. Game should be out everywhere on the july 18th

I assume there's a legal/licensing reason behind this, the release date for the other languages seems very specific with it being the beginning of the fourth quarter. It's also strange that they can pinpoint it exactly already. It's fine, I'll wait.

English and Japanese versions released on Switch the same day. WTF is this?

Very strange decision making us wait 3+ months for the english version when it already exists on switch. I personally played the first two chapters on switch then decided I would wait for a PC port to continue it. Not too bothered but it is a little confusing. I can think of a few potential reasons why:
Licensing - I don't really buy this one. Why would Nintendo lock the English version specifically to a longer exclusivity date than the Japanese? It's already been just over a year since the game came out, too.
Voice Acting - I've heard some people mention it may be to dub the 'new content', but, I'm not seeing any new content listed, so I'm not sure about that. It could however be to fix the very bad lipsyncing, which would be nice, but not sure that's worth an extra 3+ months wait.
I hope you can find a way to bump that date up, whatever the reason for it may be.
