How to escape the fog level?

You just have to wait inside the train before it closes its doors and departs again (if I understood what level you're talking about)

If you get off the train there's no way to restart other than closing it down and relaunching it

I spent a good 10 minutes trying to figure out what to do there: ran through the grass, ran along the tracks, followed the power lines, tried interacting with the platform and sign. Nothing seemed to work, so I figured it was a dead end, and restarted the game.

If anyone finds that it wasn't a dead end, please share what you did to get back on the train.

Well that's dumb. They even removed the reset progress button....

I ran along the track for some time and the game sent me back to the beginning. It's not a dead end.

The foggy station is the intended dead end trap. If you get off the train, you have to restart the game. Also walking around at there for some time will unlock the hidden achievement.

Look dude, you have to wait in the train for several minutes. If you want the Kukudo (that fog level) Achievement, you need to get outside from train and run the place forward for few times until the achievement unlock (Kukudo is haunted train station and place of loop)

The indicator board above the door when you enter the carriage says DO NOT GET OFF.
