They did quick game last night, having fun and going over the changes in the latest patch that arrived earlier today. I think they're gonna play later today too.
Suggestion to the dev team - add at least one video to the store page that is completely game play. The art on the cutscenes is amazing, but it's hard to make a decision on a purchase without seeing how it plays.
You're wrong on those last two points. From what I know of Game of Thrones it has elements of that. And it's very much like Redwall in that it has anthorpromorphic animals fighting in a medival setting.
But you are right this game playes nothing like SoC. You could say the games couldn't be more different.
They say it's like Redwarll because it has anthro animals. Well so do a hundred other works.
The comparisons are completely superficial and thus wrong. Armello isn't as ugly and low-life as GoT. And it isn't a jolly adventure as Redwall.
You might be better off looking at youtube for playthroughs.
Wrong. They say it's like Redwall because it has anthro animals in a fantasy setting. That's a very accurate and helpful comparison. To say it's not like Redwall is to lie.
I wouldn't think that it's a lie to say that it's not like Redwall. There are plenty of other series or movies with anthropomorphic animals that would make a better comparison. I say it's closer to disney's Robin Hood than Redwall. There's also the Mice & Mystics boardgame which is loosely based on a similar visual novel of which I don't remember the name. I'd even say that Armello bears somewhat of a resemblance to Watership Down which depicts the harshness of nature and life.
Redwall depicts the story of a community within a monastery who venerates the second coming of a legendary hero who will chase away two dangerous threats. At least, that's what I got from the animated series. It didn't seem very dark or very political to me and carried a rather positive message, which Armello doesn't necessarily emphasize.
