River is probably one of the best for the king killer victory especially if you time it right, as she can instantly one-shot him if he is on 1 health.
Sana is best for a spirit victory in terms of both lore and gameplay as she is a magic focused character and can summon a spirit stone easily if you get the card for it (which requires 6 magic points iirc).
The prestige victory fits Elyssia since she is focused on claiming and building up villages with fortifications as opposed to direct battles. I can see her being a champion of the people who fortifies villages against the rot and the kings forces. Edit: Elyssia is my favorite character and the one I've played the most so I have additional insights into her loadout. The sprint amulet, and pink topaz ring are basically made for her. Sprint gives you +1 AP on the next turn if you have unused AP, which you will often if you want to finish a turn on a settlement. Pink Topaz give you additional gold from owned settlements, which you will have a lot of if you take advantage of her unique ability to fortify settlements.
Volodar fits a rot victory as he can enthrall banes, especially combined with the ruin amulet to terrorize settlements for +1 rot.
Thane: Obviously Kingslayer. He's the icon of the victory path and has a desire to seize the crown to prove himself as the alpha of the wolf clan without resorting to rot unlike his brother. His stats and abilities are some of the strongest in the game for the victory path as well. Able to oppose a strong offense without the need of heavy investment.
Mercurio: Could either be Kingslayer or Rot. The Armello prologue has him go rot, but mostly because he's the only one without a clear path to put them to showcase the routes. He's a man with good virtues, but is very willing to pull dirty tricks to remove a threat he deems too dangerous to fight honorably with. I'd imagine that he personally wouldn't be a good prestige person in lore, since he has a very sharp reputation in both good and negative. Having many dangerous enemies.
Amber: Prestige, stones or Rot. I believe she would desire a less direct solution of seizing the crown, yet still a proactive one. Using her well rounded abilities to adapt and get on the peoples good side. Using her relics to get the upper hand on more stronger opponents. Yet I feel her dungeon cravings may lead her to a dark fate if the treasure she obtains happens to corrupt her. She wouldn't be evil naturally though, so prestige is the more realistic path.
Sana: Being strong in spirit and also the Wlyd's Songstress. Any path outside of spirit stones seems out of character. Though her ability does allow her a decent Kingslayer path should things get desperate.
River: Kingslayer or Prestige. She always boasts about being the more rational of her siblings. Probably trying her best to be on the people's good side, while using her resources to seal the deal with an arrow to the King's head. None of the Wolves are really spiritual, but she is probably the closest to being open of the Wlyd's wisdom.
Zosha: Kingslayer, maybe stones or rot? She is an assassin though and though. If the night mother demands the King's head, she would use any trick to obtain it. Though I think Kingslayer is the most direct route for her to take. She is patient though, so rot and stones are possible paths if she deems the most realistic. I think Zosha personally sucks as a rot character though, so I don't like the idea of rot for her in general.
Barnaby: I think Kingslayer? Barnaby isn't a clear cut character, though the Kingslayer route seems the most likely route he would set his mind on. He doesn't care much about prestige (See his Forerunner Skin Bio) nor isn't spiritual and is too 'innocent' to tamper with the rot.
Brun: Kingslayer or maybe stones. Brun being an exile from a highly spiritual clan of bears. I'd imagine his faith in the Wlyd has been shaken. But, not entirely gone. I think he more so believes in his own strength to rule, so he probably would try brute force to destroy the King with his scarcasting abilities.
Magna: Kingslayer. She is a one of the strongest generals within the wolf clan. She is suited for the Kingslayer route in terms of skill set and she isn't the person to invest into her wits to solve problems.
Sargon: Rot, probably one of the more clear cases of it. He already uses dark magic to see through the veil and predict the world's events. I see him personally as a person who is capable in doing wicked things to his victims for the sake of his goals. His ability to see the cards allows him to more easily carve a path to the darkness then most characters.
Ghor: To innocent for direct violence or rot and a lover of the forest, Wlyd and nature. Yeah spirit stones is obvious. "Do I need to be in the palace?" should be enough evidence of his opinion of the other two routes.
Elyssia: Prestige is pretty obvious. She is literally a people pleaser in her nature as a construction lead. She is one if not the best prestige leaders in the game with the ability to slow down others, and having more then enough money to use any trickery cards at her whims.
Fang: Okay even League of Geeks themselves want him to be the rot character so yeah Rot is the intended path for him. Yet, he does have some kindness and restraint in him. So if he's able to resist the dark urges of the rot. I can see him still doing normal kingslayer. Then unfortunately repeating history as the rot corrupts his soul throughout every passing moon. Becoming just like the King in his last moments.
Griotte: Kingslayer, rot or prestige are all options I can see this double crossing rat taking to get what she needs. She's selfish and cunning, while having the power to rip someone apart if one is unfortunate to provoke her in her bloodthirsty mood shift. She isn't above using dark magic morally, already is weaker in the morning as well. Yet, I'd imagine her wealth and political power could allow her to use the kings position against him. Using blackmail and bribes to win the people's hearts, while silencing the ones who have the ability to speak ill of her.
Yordana: Stones is the only realistic option for her character to take. She studies the Wyld relentlessly, and uses the Wyld's magic to hex foes to keep them at bay. Hinting on the Wyld's not so good side. Her devotion is unbreakable, so rot is a no. Yet her low base combat stats and lack of care of prestige makes those options unlikely... even if I like playing Kingslayer with her personally.
Hargrave: Prestige seems a fitting starting goal for him, using his inventions and history to convince the people he is capable. Though he wouldn't hesitate to shoot a cannon at the King's head(Ouch...) if he had the opportunity. His stat spread is fitting for both routes and I could see it going either way.
Twiss: Stones seems to be the fitting route of Twiss. Her stats are suited for the route pretty well and prestige(Although more of a stronger playstyle for her.) isn't exactly her aim. Stealing the stones can be kinda a fun game for her I'd imagine, given her twisted sense of humor. Using the stones to swiftly disable the King to steal the crown or even kill him to claim the role of queen herself. Providing the means to finally give back to the poor and having a say for the common folk... though this part fits Scarlet more.
Scarlet: Speaking of her, either Kingslayer or Prestige routes seem fitting for her to take. Forming a rebellion is both a political move alongside an aggressive one. Either the King kneels to the people who Scarlet convinced to repent against. Or she will personally take it herself using the allies she made along the way. Finally having the chance to be the leader for the common folk like she always wanted. Having the past of the nobility to back up her political position.
Sylas: Kingslayer, enough said.
Horace: Would I'd imagine to be a humble leader, desiring a less violent path. Yet is willing to fight if he has too. He could really go any path that isn't rot. It mostly stems of which is more appropriate at the time.
Valodar: Quite literally a priest of the rot so yeah the rot is very obvious. (Also why does everyone play stones with this character?) He has the ability to control banes to a degree and in the novella even proves that rot COULD be used as a force for good. He just happens to have a brain made with ironclad willpower to resist any whispers of the rot which sways his mind.
Agniya: Rot obviously, though I'd imagine she has the patience to also do prestige leader. Spreading her words of wisdom about the rot and somehow convincing the folk to elect her as the queen of Armello.
Oxana: She hates the Wyld and kills ancients for a living... so stones obviously out of character. Though she could use rot to win and to fittingly claim the natural order of the world. I could see her doing normal Kingslayer since her combat stats are pretty strong and she isn't 'loyal' to the rot either. She just wants a position of power to keep both powers of nature in check.
Nazar: He's mentally insane and already too far gone to imagine a route where rot isn't his focus. He is the 'chosen' one after all. He already uses dark magic pretty heavily and I'd imagine he just wants to tear Armello into darkness as an act of simply wicked pleasure.
It was really fun to read your analysis and choices for the each one's ending.
You really did put a'lot of work for this, so hopefully it was fun for you.
Thank you Steelairship and Wordhashtag5828 as well for joining in.
If anyone is wondering, I love good lore stuff, so since I have been playing this game for a long time, I came up this idea and added it here.
Though that if anyone else was wondering similar things and hopefully giving them a new place for exploration.
Also this was NOT a contest or anything.
Talking through a internet doesn't feel natural for me, so I apology if I have given a false impression here.
